The stars indicate skins I'm unsure about where to put. I starred the three new skins until I can see their blurb. Not sure if Stars and Stripes Raynor is really an alternate universe (separate from the Marshal Raynor universe) or just a real world/modern theme. Same story for Insectoid Zagara. Not sure if Jade Dragon Kharazim is an alternate version of Kharazim or if he should be some kind of real world/martial arts theme (possibly including the samurai/ninja themed skins?). Also with Storm Lord Falstad, Zerg Hunter Zeratul and Explorer LiLi - not sure if these are big enough departures from their characters to be considered alternate universe versions.

I could probably have combined the last two categories into just "other" really. And the "Alternate Character" category could be absorbed into others as indicated.

I'd separate Lumberjack Uther from the others. In his bio, he's explicitly from Canada. Most of the others may have themes inspired by the real world, but he's actually from it (though technically he could be from the Overwatch or Blackthorne universe since they both have Earth).

Removed the asterisk from Fel Queen Chromie, she's definitely an alternate timeline hero.

Actually, it's possible all alternate reality heroes (at least from the Warcraft universe) use the in-universe "timeways" explanation.

True, Roller Derby Nova also seems implied to be from the real world. Could split them out, I didn't want to create too many categories though. Maybe if they add more.

I like the idea that the real world heroes are actual people in the Blackthorne universe :P

That's an interesting idea - Muradin's skin description mentions a "sugar plum valley" but I think that's just part of the jokey saccharine description. The Sugar Plum Fairy is associated with the Christmas holidays because she's a character from the Nutcracker which became a holiday tradition. I don't think there's a Candy King with holiday associations, I suspect that "sugar plum valley" is just a coincidence.

Mmm, well he has candy cane horns on his helmet but I think that's just part of his overall candy look. All the gumdrops and marshmallows and fairy floss beard don't say holidays to me.

Her text implies she's a resident of the alternate universe where WW3 is taking place, so I took it this was a different character altogether.

Cool thread. I thought the Spectre thing was it's own little group and not just a Starcraft thing. Like a generic rogue squad of sci-fi assassins. But I don't know anything about the Starcraft universe really.

I assumed he was an homage to Watchmen's Nite-Owl (also has some traces of Batman, Moon Knight etc) like Eagle Eye Tyrande appears to be an homage to Hawkeye. But the description has nothing to tie that into him Superhero universe, and could just be a description of an alternate universe of its own.
