This annoys me. There is an enormous difference between sexual advances and sexual assault, or sexual blackmail.
Rather than regressive leftist puritanism and obnoxiously touchy feely workshops, just make it obvious that any sex or lack thereof is not in any way, shape or form tied to whether or not you will succeed or be blackballed. Make the offense any deviation from this rule.
Want to offer that new coder 3m 1f? Fine, but it is not allowed to have any impact on anyone's career.

@Polyxo
How about this for all feminzai's, SJW's, and whatever other retarded group cropped up in the last 5 years: whenever a hot girl grabs my butt out at the bars or I'm at work and a hot girl is "giving me the eyes," I'll call the cops or march straight to HR and have them fired! Sexual assault!
hahahaha... I wish this forum had a laughing emoticon..
I really suck at fps. I can't figure out Dva.

That's fine. There's a local female politician who is currently in major legal trouble for getting grabby with her male interns. So that's probably the appropriate thing to do.

Except it'd never happen because guys don't get offended over nothing. Granted, girls do have to deal with creeps a lot. But more often than not, they're exaggerating, lying, because they're vindictive or never really got the attention they desired. Again, since you won't reply to my last post, I've worked in IT for over 8 years. Nothing like that goes on. But yet, "all the girls" that you work with have had their asses grabbed? Stop lying.
Is it so hard for people to keep their hands, dicks, and pussies to themselves.
The article begins with purporting to discuss an 'uncomfortable truth' and then posits no evidence. I'm sure this problem exists, but I haven't seen evidence that it's a systemic problem, and furthermore not one that needs to be fixed through alternative measures; mechanisms are already in place for people to deal with sexual misconduct. Whether or not individuals use these mechanisms is up to them.
Tongue in cheek response to silly article:
It is? Can I get some citations?Let’s talk about an uncomfortable truth, sexual harassment and assault is common in the tech industry
Sounds like basic politeness to me.Her article lit a spark which fired up some self-awareness, because I heard myself apologizing for the rest of the day. I apologized for having an opinion, I apologized for bumping into someone who actually walked into me. I even said “I am sorry but I think you are wrong” (to someone who totally had their facts wrong) So, what the fuck is up with that?
I totally didn't see that revelation coming, thanks for sharing your lack objectivity though. The reason I am so angry is because I was sexually assaulted at an afterparty during a tech conference. It was the last straw after years of putting up with all kinds of sexism and as a result, I closed my company.
These are weasel terms, can we have more objectivity please? The reason I am so angry is because I was sexually assaulted at an afterparty during a tech conference. It was the last straw after years of putting up with all kinds of sexism and as a result, I closed my company.
Have you tried counselling? You read like you need some emotional help or stability, it's OK to seek this out, you're not weaker by doing so.I pushed forward but the feelings didn’t go away. I just suppressed them and they find their way to the surface. [...] Every time I get up to pitch, instead of sharing my vision I am exploding with rage. And then I apologize and promise to do better, and change my pitch to one that is even more antagonizing then the last.
I was literally told that I need to work harder on hiding my thinly veiled contempt for the investors.
Living your life in constant fear of extremely specific whatifs is going to lead you to make some truly awful decisions. I refer you back to earlier, you're not having an objective view here and I would suspect it's hurting your investment chances.Because here is my deepest fear- I am afraid that one of these men, these bad actors will end up investing in Civilize. He will have a board seat, he will own part of my life’s work. One day, he will offer to take me out to dinner and I will think it is professional but he will have another agenda (because in his mind lunch is for business and dinner is for lovers but I didn’t get the memo), he will make an advance, I won’t know what to do, everything will get awkward and I will be afraid of making an enemy of him because he will have the power to oust me from my company.
This is my imagination, but these aren’t imaginary fears. This happens. I need to make sure that it doesn’t happen to me again, or to any members of my team.
I am the lucid dream

On MMO-C we learn that Anti-Fascism is locking arms with corporations, the State Department and agreeing with the CIA, But opposing the CIA and corporate America, and thinking Jews have a right to buy land and can expect tenants to pay rent THAT is ultra-Fash Nazism. Bellingcat is an MI6/CIA cut out. Clyburn Truther.

Have they let either of you into the secret woman's forum yet?

Yeah this does seem a bit silly, for a number of different reasons. First, if someone decides to pull out an investment because you don't want a relationship with them, then that's their loss (if it was a good investment) and, if it was a good investment, there is someone out there who doesn't care about you and just wants to make money. If it was a bad investment, then your status as an object of desire is working purely in your favor - and now you have a competitive advantage that you can work.
Second, the idea of placing legal barriers in coworker relationships is disgusting to me. Individuals should have the right to query. Asking for that to be taken away is the canonical definition of modern ironic social justice.
And finally - if you're really competitive, sleep with him. Once you do that, you have power. You even the scales, even if he's your superior - in fact, the balance of power likely shifts in your favor, if anything.
In our society, women have more power than men.
Oh modern feminism, you never cease to make me laugh. Between "Muh 1 in 4!" and "Paytreearchkey!" they supply no shortage of laughs.
The best thing is that these gender studies degree champions find themselves unemployable because HR sees them as walking sexual harassment lawsuits waiting to happen.
