    Am I set for a 1080 GTX?

    Hi

I was wondering if my current PC can handle the new 1080 GTX card. What do you guys think?

    Specs:

Tower (is it big enough for the 1080 GTX?)
    Corsair Obsidian 550D Midi Tower

    CPU
    Intel Core i7-4770K

    Power Supply
    Corsair CX 500W PSU

    (Water) Cooler
    Corsair H60 Hydro Series

    Motherboard
    MSI Z87-G43, Socket-1150

    Ram
    Kingston DDR3 HyperX Beast 8GB

    Current GPU
MSI GeForce GTX 670 2GB PhysX CUDA

ps. I'm not buying a new computer, that's not necessary. If some hardware is causing me to "bottleneck" the 1080 GTX, please say so. Thanks

    Yes, why shouldn't it? :P

I would seriously push you to get a new, higher-quality PSU, though. That's a horribly cheap power supply for such a decent system and the CX line isn't known for its quality control and stability...

Here's a good thing to think about when considering PSUs:

This is the piece of hardware that is delivering electricity from the wall to your computer. It's converting the power as needed, it's regulating the power. Just because it doesn't affect your numbers in x or y benchmark or video game doesn't mean you shouldn't treat it as a serious component. If you want to have no feelings of worry, 80+ Gold at least, is what I personally go for.
