Was Grappling Hook nerfed?

When I first got beta access, I was having tons of fun just finding places to grapple to. It was the ability that made me decide to play my rogue at the start of Legion as opposed to my other classes. The idea of having to take the vertical environment into consideration when attacking somebody out in the world really interested me. Well I just logged into the beta a few minutes ago, and noticed that I can't grapple up to any place that I couldn't normally reach on foot. Using it on any sort of ledge caused the ability animation to play and the cooldown to trigger, but I wouldn't actually move from my starting location. This close to release I'm worried that they thought the ability was too fun and decided to nerf it. Can anyone confirm if that's the case? I haven't seen anybody really discussing this ability, so I can't be quite sure.

Yes, they did change it a few weeks ago removing all the fun from it. Now is basically heroic leap.

Blizz got lazy by copying Heroic Leap. In other words, to speed it up they copied Heroic Leap.

Wow that really sucks. I was really looking forward to grappling up to rooftops to avoid my enemies like a ninja or something. I guess it was too good to be true.

It might of been because in PVP right now, outside of Ret, melee is doing incredibly well.

Like every expansion start. First season is always melee heavy.

No, because in PVP it is a better gap closer than the older version because of the speed of getting to a casters face.

The older version was better for escapes or for questing.

Unless they are up a slight incline then you can't use that here.....

Did they change how Heroic Leap works again? I thought it was going to be able to let you jump on top of buildings and stuff now?

The worst part is they did the same thing to shadowstep for some reason.
