    Feedback needed on build list.

    Hello Computer wizz's of mmo-champ.

Ive decided to live up to the old adage "treat yo self"
Ive tended in the past to buy mediocre pc crap, mostly because i am an impatient little shit.

So karma rewarded me with a Amd Fx something something, with a cooler that sounds like a damaged airliner.
It still runs everything fine "sorta" when i Oc it.... but the black box of forced headset usage does my head in.
And after 2-3 years, i should get something a tad more "future" proof

So i've decided to splurge a bit, and for once. Actually get a decent build.
A nice quiet build. like seriously , this hunk a junk sounds like it's about to do a strafe run on an unsuspecting village in Yemen.

I will cannibalize my old setup for a 450 GB samsung SSD and a MSI Gtx970.
( 970 il replace with a 1080 once a few more non foundation designs hit the market )
low supply in my nation rockets up an already steep price.

Case : be Quiet Dark base Pro 900
    Processor : Intel core i7-6700K
    Motherboard : Asus Z170-Deluxe
HD Sata : 1Tb Toshiba DT01ACAxxx ( got to keep that alphabetized midget porn collection man )
Power supply: be Quiet Straight power 10CM 700 watt.

Not sure on the next parts, and this is where i could use some input.

samsung ssd is 3 years old , so would it be worth it to get a replacement ( better write speed )
for a CPU cooler i was looking at the "be Quiet Dark rock advanced C1" because you know, Apache heli noise atm.
Memory i wanted to get the new Corsair 32gig ddr 4 memory banks, but they are "again" in low supply.
Might go for 16 Gb for the time being instead, since they are readily available.

Main usage is gaming, bit of streaming, some rendering. I tend to alt tab a metric fuckton between programs running since i have the attention span of a gold fish, and the web has many cat vids.

Any and all input / advise is greatly appreciated.

Will probably go for a 144Mhz 1920 x 1080 screen to compliment the setup, since ive heard 4k is still way to much in it's infancy, and bum rushes ones Frame rate.

So I collected from this post that you have GTX 970 and 450GB SSD from the previous build, build goal is a quiet PC for gaming and streaming.
    1) Do you plan to do overclocking?
    2) You talk about a monitor, should we select it now?
    3) Do you need peripherals, OS?
    4) Where do you live and what are you trusted vendors?
    5) Budget?

Please will out the questionnaire in the sticky the next time.

    1) Yeah main i reason i went for an unlocked cpu is to at some point oc , just to extend its lifetime a bit.

    2) i was looking at a Iiyama red eagle monitor, but i used to have one from the same manufacturer, and it just kept switching channels whenever anything onvolving flash player got activated ( youtube ) would blackout and switch it back on. 144Hz is the main prio, so open for suggestions

    3) Os il probably go for windows 10, still have a corsair keyboard and a high dpi steel series mouse.

    4) live in Belgium , and the supplier i intend to use is alternate. ( kinda like a benelux version of newegg )

    5) budget is between 1200 to 1600 euro's ( excluding graphics card and monitor replacement )

Yeah, forgot about the monitor. Which is your prefered diagonal?

27" inc roundabout, refresh rate trumps 4k , since outside of this mmo guilty pleasure i mainly play FPS.

Thank you for the list, some food for thought there, definitely switching out some of my original idea's on what to order.

Best one would be ASUS VG278HE but it seems like your prefered vendor doesnt have it. Another one is this.

All I would change from Thunderballs list would be the PSU. Get this instead, high quality 550 watt You don't need more and it is cheaper.

I'd drop down to a beQuiet Straight Power E10 500W. No need to invest 40€ more into those 150W extra, which your system won't need anyway. It's also going to be somewhat less noisy than the Seasonic one.

    edit:
There's also a version with cable management for 10€ more (still cheaper than the seasonic one).

Dude is doing overclocking, so it's more than justified. I agree that's a suboptimal choice but his vendor doesnt have much choice.

Yeah, and the PSU I suggested runs the i7 (up to 4.5 GHZ) and a GTX 980 TI (standard one, not heavy OC'ed) just fine.

true, but as it stands from what ive seen, oc'd versions of the 1080 have shown to draw almost 200 watt more, so i figured , better safe then sorry.

True, but try searching for either EVGA SuperNova G2 650W or XFX XTR 650W, both based on the same hardware. Both should be better but my guess would be that XFX is much easier to find in Europe.
