    Recommend upgrades

Hello, I'm thinking of upgrading my computer finally and was looking for suggestions as to what to upgrade first and to what.

    Current build:

Motherboard: Asus Z87-Plus ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

    CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor

GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 750 2GB Video Card

    Ram: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

PSU: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply]

    Thanks in advance!

Well video card is the weakest part of your system, everything else is still good. In a couple weeks the 1060 comes out, and that will be close to 3x the speed of your current card for ~250 bucks.

Your build is still good except a videocard. Right now it's release time, NVIDIA already released their GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 ($600-650 and $400-450 respectively, both faster than everything last generation had to offer). They are not yet readily available everywhere and prices are still high, but you can get them. GTX 1060 ($250 recommended price for custom ones, performance compared to GTX 980) is coming out in 10 days with reference edition, you will probably be able to get a custom one by September. AMD has also released RX 480 which is compared 970 for sub-$250 custom editions (they are not available yet).

So it entirely depends on your budget. If you can afford GTX 1070 definetely get it (make sure to avoid Founders Edition) and top it off with an SSD if you dont have it.

Thanks a lot for the input! Currently my budget is around $500. Would you recommend the 1070 vs 1060 + an SSD + extra 8gb of ram?

Also, and this might seem silly.. I would personally sell the 4770 and get a 4690K and overclock it. They sell on ebay for about the same price as a new 4690K, and you can OC the 4690K and get better performance out of it... unless there's a specific reason you got the i7. Just a though.

Depends on how soon you need this and are there any budgets coming in the near future. I would definetely recommend getting GTX 1070 if you play AAA games other than WoW. For WoW even GTX 1060 will probably do for a long time, but the problem is that you likely wont be able to get a decent GTX 1060 in at least 1.5-2 months. SSD would definetely be a good boost, especially for WoW but you can likely fit both in a $500 budget.

    Storage: OCZ TRION 150 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($62.98 @ Amazon)
    Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($89.99 @ NCIX US)
    Storage: Crucial MX200 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($79.99 @ Adorama)

These would be good SSD options depending on how much you spend on your GTX 1070.

Probably because overclocking is a no-no for him. It's kinda sad but A LOT of people are SCARED of even using the presets that are built in motherboards these days.
