To increase the amount of blood in your body you should cut a lot of holes in yourself and in cut a lot of holes in others too and let much of your blood bleed out and spill onto the wounds of others, and let their blood spill into your own wounds. That way, you both become healthier. You can also inject or simply drink extra blood, doesn't matter whose. And store some in your freezer for a rainy day.

Humans are the neurons that form the civilization brain.
Natural resources, production(GDP), and organizational revenue matching or exceeding expenses(profit) is the heart. (engine would be the best term.)
Monies are the joints that ease movement. (Or blood if you really want it :-)
Credit and loans getting paid back exercise the muscles to help you get stronger.
