    New desktop purchase

Hi all. I'm switching from a laptop to a desktop as I am new to doing this so I would like some advice

    Budget - $1500
    Resolution - not sure ?
Games / Settings Desired - WoW, Overwatch, LoL, Diablo 3, Starcraft - I'd like to play on ultra if possible
Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc) - none
    Country - Canada
Parts that can be reused - none
Do you need an OS? - yes
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)? - yes

I did some looking around and found this. I would have to buy the monitor separate obviously but what are your thoughts on this computer

From the research I've found I wouldn't be able to over clock without the 6700k right? I've never over locked before so unless necessary I probably won't do it anyways is that safe to assume ?

And do I really need a 6700? Should I ignore that prebuilt and just build mine own with that budget

You dont need an i7 for gaming, there are some stock shortages for GTX 1060 afaik, so if it's not in stock look for any two fan design from EVGA, Palit, Gainward, Gigabyte, MSI or ASUS that's available.

If I wanted to put some extra money into getting a bigger monitor say like a 27" what would you recommend ? And what are your thoughts on ultra wide monitors for the games listed ?

On ultra-wide - personal preference, I dont like them in any games, those are only good for coding in my opinion. Need at least GTX 1070 for them though.

For another $100 I can grab a 1070. Should I just splurge and get it ? Or would you put that 100 elsewhere in your suggestion and stick with the 1060.

This is the 1060 I've found

    This is the 1070

Also I would like to buy a second smaller monitor probably next month sometimes I like to just eaych twitch or watch Netflix and stuff while I grind away like a zombie. Is this doable with this particular set up?

I dont see any $100 difference, I see $150 USD or $200 CAD difference. $280/$430 and $350/$550. Second monitor is completely doable.
