Is it time for a Upgrade

    Hello,

I have been contemplating upgrading my computer that I have had for the past 4-5 years, but I am not sure its worth it yet. Currently i run WoW on about medium settings but get some FPS drops in raids and PvP and would like to play games like No Man Sky and such without a fear that I am below the current specs.

    My Current PC is

    AMD Phenom II X6 1100t 3.30 Ghz
    8 Gigs of Rams
Geforce 960 with 2 gigs of ram (purchased about 2 years ago)

    Sure can.

Budget for an upgrade would be about 600-700 bucks.
    Resolution is 1920x1080 (Dual Monitors)
Games- Would be Primarily WOW/Overwatch but would like to play these games on high settings and would like to be able to also play games like No Man Sky on high settings.
The main use of the PC is Gaming, I don't use it for anything else.
    Country:USA
I am not married to any of my parts so I could you replace any or all of them but would like to keep the vid card if it isnt to out of date. I have a Tower Case and a H60 Corsair Cooler that I would likely reuse along with the Hard Drive and DVD Drive.

No, I wouldnt need a new OS or any new peripherals.

What are your case and PSU models please? This would be very helpful. EDIT: Also, are you overclocking?

you can get 4690 cpus on sale in local stores cause everyone wants skylake even if its not faster.

Honestly, I would keep with your current PC for a while longer and try to save up more money. What you have currently can play Overwatch and WoW passably.

Try to get about double that amount saved up (1200-1400) and then build something nice whenever you do. Aim for getting at least a gtx1070 video card, which would be well out of a $700 PC budgets range right now. Your current PC should be good for at least another year of playing Blizzard games on medium settings.
