Main thing I see is, if you ever install any games on that HDD, and not on the SSD, your performance will suffer due to the slower speed, as opposed to a WD Black. If it is only going to be mainly for storage, Red is excellent, and quiet.

Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive any good ?

    Edit:
Western Digital BLACK SERIES 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

I always prefer the Black models simply because they are the best performing ones. Blues are more economical versions, at the expense of performance. The only time the Blues pull ahead is if you go way up in size, like say 5-6 TB.

Alright replaced the red HDD with Western Digital BLACK SERIES 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Anything else ? Do i need more fans ? added thermal paste too

It looks like it has the ability for 2 top fans. You might wish to toss a couple of fans there. More personal preference though. I have mine set up to cause the airflow to go from bottom to top, which is better than from front to rear. If you want to go this route, add 2 fans exhausting up top, and another intake fan at the bottom, if it supports a bottom fan. Hard to tell from the pictures.

This SSD is VERY bad. The case is not worth the money. Look towards Fractal R5 or Phanteks Enthoo Pro M. Absolutely no reason to get WD Black as a secondary drive - Blue will do just fine, the performance difference is pretty small.
    R5 5600X | Thermalright Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme | MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk | 16GB Crucial Ballistix DDR4-3600/CL16 | MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X | Corsair RM650x | Cooler Master HAF X | Logitech G400s | DREVO Excalibur 84 | Kingston HyperX Cloud II | BenQ XL2411T + LG 24MK430H-B

So? It can be lifetime (I have a server grade Seagate HDD that has lifetime warranty) - it doesnt mean anything.

CM Storm Devastator is pretty decent bundle. Also, did you edit this cooler just now or I missed it? Anyway, it's pretty bad (I'm talking 212 EVO performance and louder), get a decent air cooler, something like Thermalright HR-02 or be quiet! Dark Rock 3.

Okay I want to switch cooler but i am confused. I want a pretty decent air cooler since i have had overheating problems with other computers and i dont want to deal with that again. Both of the ones you recommended have medium reviews and lower RPM than other fans that ive seen more highly rated. Since i do not know about air coolers could you choose for me ? why is Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler highest rated/

People dont buy more expensive coolers often.

Your post is not relevant. We are not talking about server grade HDDs now are we? The fact of the matter is the Black edition is better built and more durable than the Blue, hence the longer warranty, while outperforming it slightly at 4TB and below sizes.

The fact that you state the warranty means nothing is laughable.

D14 is a decent choice but it's massive, not pleasant to work with.

The only difference between them is a controller.

The speed of the Black is superior to Blue, due to Black's 6 ms response time vs Blue's 15 ms response time, and this is what comes into play when running programs. It has been proven over the years to be a more reliable drive as well. The burst speed of the Black is far superior to the Blue. The Black has a dual core processor. The Blue does not.

You do not run programs off your secondary hard drive, you run them off SSD. I'm not questioning Black superiority as a primary storage option, I'm questioning why would you need a fast HDD for storage.

When only using a 250GB SSD, many times you will end up with programs on your HDD. Just WoW and Windows takes up something around 70 GB alone. Add a few more games, and you will likely end up putting many programs on the HDD to save room on the SSD.
