You're so wrong it hurts. Even the top PvP gear is strictly worse. PvP unlike PvE is also a pyramide scheme. The rating one has to reach to receive the best gear was describe as "gladi rating" which they put as equivalent of mythic. Guess what? Gladi rating is the top 0,5% and it's harder to achieve by a long shot than mythic.

PvE lacking the pyramide scheme and being against fixed encounters is all around EASIER. You do not face an adversary that cares about winning or losing and you can try over and over again. As long as you succeed ONCE you're being rewarded. Then you come back and do the same over again next week.

The figures of a few percent is top gear compared to one another. Gear that is way harder to achieve through PvP and will be less accessible. Gear that for some reason is still worse in PvP than it's PvE equivalent. While decent PvE gear takes a massive dump on most other PvP gear.

People going "it's just a few percent" are completely and utterly delusional. Even the weapon alone makes a tremendous difference to the point where 2.2 used to be a hard wall most teams ran into. Because they faced off against people who had the weapon while they didn't. It means they had to fight an uphill battle all throughout these matches and win over and over again to eventually achieve the weapon or give up frustrated when they missed a killing blow by a tiny margin.

Guess what happened when these people achieved their weapon rating even once? The wall fell apart and where prior they were stuck right below 2.2k they suddenly gained quite a bit of rating because even a small difference does matter a lot. There's a reason even most talents and abilities only give a few percent in boost.
The difference the elite weapon made was huge compared to the 2% difference that PvE gear will have over PvP gear.

Yes, PvE is easier, but there are still very few people who get mythic on farm, even then, the ones that do don't typically PvP. It will be months before they get full gear, whereas there's going to be 2 seasons for each raid tier and I don't believe the iLvL of the next PvP set has been datamined yet. Rating is farmable in a few days then it's just the case of playing.

I'm not wrong, if you think you're going to get stuck at 1800 because the people higher rated than you have 1% more stats then you need to re-evaluate your mindset.

It's pathetic that this is even a discussion. You could argue that people who had higher cap since the first week because of their high rating had a much higher stat advantage than 1% over lower rated people. No one ever said "I can't break 2k cos ppl have 2 pieces of gear more than me!"

It seems like it's just whining for whining's sake.

That's one of the things people seem to be forgetting. The second season PvP gear isn't datamined yet and it's coming out this raid tier. It probably has higher iLvL than the PvE gear.

IDK how many times we have to go through this but some people just won't admit the reality.

The problem is the higher your CR or raid tier, the better the gear drops will be from boxes. However, truly better PvPers will already have the advantage by virtue of their playing abilities and team coordination (this of course assumes no cheats/scripts which is a LMFAO). Why compound the gap with any artificial gear advantage? Because it sets up an even tougher grind that takes longer, which benefits Blizz.

PvP Player A should not get higher ilvl gear as a "reward" than Player B who is a few points under CR, whatever the cut-offs are. Rewards should be as they've been - titles, mounts, recolors - that have no bearing on your toon's power.

It creates a rift in the rankings and a rigged system. It will also further encourage cheating in both PvP and raids to get the gear. Successively higher bracket teams will tend to have accumulated team percentages much greater versing lower geared teams. It'll be far greater than just "1% stats", especially given the lower participation in Rated now (MMR system) and when the higher MMR teams que dodge.
