[WA] [Balance] New Moon Tracking

Hey guys,

First I'm sorry if someone has already posted something, I tried looking through multiple threads for this but couldn't find anything, and I feel like I can never find anything using mmo-c's forum search tool (although I did try anyway).

I looked at Cyous's thread where he has a whole collection, and while that collection is indeed beautiful, it's kinda more than I need. My main spec is Resto anyway, so I'm just doing Boomkin for questing and other solo world stuff, so I really only want a couple really simple things that I have made for myself (ignore the two random leaves, they are actually part of my Resto collection and I'm just borrowing them for Balance for now):



Where the white circle is is where I'm hoping to put an icon for tracking which phase of New Moon I'm in. When thinking about it, I would really love to have slightly different icons showing which phase I'm in, but I'm not sure if that would actually require just making a separate aura for each phase. I think a similar effect can be gained though by having just one icon change color based on which phase I'm in. Bonus points would be having a progress texture move with the reload, but I would also settle for just simply making a separate text aura for it to show the number itself. I don't want to over-complicate this or ask too much for something that, again, is just for my offspec, but I've come to realize while leveling that it would be extremely beneficial to have a better visual tracker for this than just mousing over the spell icon to see.

ETA: while totally unrelated to this, one of the things Cyous has that I think is really cool and don't really know how to do is how to have my AP bar do predictive AP for spell cast with the static AP, if that is easier and anyone knows how to do it

I'm not sure why you wouldn't want a full set of weakauras for your offspec. But if you do want less, I'd suggest it's easier to import the full set, set them to load "never", and copy the parts you want than to reinvent the wheel. Also, you can download Gebuz's weakaura set in multiple parts and maybe one or two of those parts would be suitable for you.

Sorry for the semi-necro, but I was playing around with this again. I decided to try to just simplify and make a few individual weak auras. You can see below I have a simple reload icon + timer, for stack reload and then the goal I have is to just have a single run show up in one of three positions, based on whether I am currently in the New, Half, or Full phase:



The problem I'm running into is that although the spells seem different based on their name, Weak Auras seems to treat each phase as still one spell, New Moon. When I set about making the second rune for the Half Moon position it wouldn't let me type "Half Moon" into the spell ID input in WA; it acted as if the spell didn't exist, or at least wasn't in my spell book. But I was in the Half Moon phase on my character, seeing it on my action bar. If I typed "new moon" it automatically changed in the input box to Half Moon. But still, the center rune wouldn't show up.

Moreover, the leftmost rune for New Moon always shows up, regardless of what phase I'm in.

So does anyone know what is going on here, and what the solution to it is to just have 1 rune show up, based specifically on what phase of the spell I'm in?

I'll include my WA for tracking full moon, this isnt exactly what you need but it's close. I have 3 of these, one for each phase.

Under Custom Trigger I look for "half moon" successful cast,
Under Custom Untrigger I look for "full moon" successful cast.

It isnt perfect but it is the best I could come up with so far.
