My issue with Apotheosis is that it can be spell stolen in PvP. I don't really care where the place the wings, just as long as they're on me.

Unless your ears are on your shoulders than the wings are clearly coming out of your shoulders. In this picture you can see it coming out of your back better.

Which makes sense, because it would provide absolutely 0 benefit for a mage.

The wings are placed on your shoulder blades, they don't need to move!
