Pvp trinkets?

So I just rng'd my self a 850 ilvl pvp trinket. Sadly, it's the versatility one that can give a strength proc. Is there any point in using this? I previously had 835ilevel trinkets with strenght/mastery in them with no procs. If I understood correctly, trinket procs and active abilities won't work in instanced pvp? Versatility is somewhat worthless for questing and pve as a frost dk. World pvp is irrelevant.

Use it if it's an upgrade (PvE) otherwise don't. I'm not a frost DK so it's up to you to theorycraft if it's a better trinket (DPS gain) than your alternatives.
The bonuses won't work in instanced PvP.

Keep it in your bag and get credit for the ilvl in pvp.
