    Foot cancer

Cancer happens when cells are damaged. I don't understand why we don't get foot cancer because our feet are constantly being eroded by the ground so why doesn't the DNA in our feet damage and mutate like it does when you scratch another part of your body?

The same reason we don't get leg cancer, arm cancer, chest cancer, back cancer, neck cancer, and head cancer. The foot itself isn't an organ. It can have cancer on it in the form of skin cancer....

You can have tumors from other cancers on/in your legs or feet, having a tumor somewhere doesn't mean that's where your cancer originates, as it metastases.

Edit: also, feet are designed to walk on, literally, that's their purpose. Humans have been walking on them since we stand upright.

Cus your foot isn't an organ. You don't get foot cancer, but you get cancer in your foot.
    Googling could've answered your questions.

On the offchance that this is a serious question: Cancer is not caused by damage to cells, billions of cells are constantly "damaged" by normal bodily processes, cancer is caused by damage to DNA.In fact several very specific kinds of damage must happen in specific places for cancer to develop. Physical damage, as in damage caused by walking, too much, abrasions, bruising, etc. does not have the capability of damaging the DNA of healthy cells.

questionable question from a single post poster. This leads me to believe this is not a serious thread.
