No it reactivates and you get no loot for doing it.

You have to run the instance again to upgrade it.

Afaik, it just becomes the same stone it was before, except now its not depleted. I don't think how fast you do the depleted run matters, as long as its within the timer.

That's interesting, so technically i can keep running the same dungeon for loot by depleting and restoring it O_o

No because depleted keys dont give loot

You get no loot, but it can upgrade multiple times, so better to wait out and upgrade it only +1 if you want to loot more loot pieces and not skip any chests.

This. Did someone's depleted MoS+2 keystone a while back in a carry thinking it'd just become a non depleted +2. Boy were we wrong. Upgraded his keystone to +5 and no loot.

Yup, and you don't even get any loot then for the lvl3 and lvl4 chests you actually should have earned, because the initial depletion of the key only gave the lvl2 loot.
