Ohhai! Any advice for someone returning from launch

So im redownloading the game atm, have not played since about a month after launch.

I recently fell into a ton of freetime on my hands, and am looking for some mmo PVE to do outside of wow raiding. Im also dabbling in the everquest progression server atm, and briefly tried black desert, but that games endgame pvp focus was not for me.

I see that theres a max level boost available if you buy the expansion, I have no plans to do that right now.

Any specific advice on relearning the game? or should I just play and learn as I go.

Also if anyone can reccomend good pve mmos outside of wow, and why you reccomend them, that would be great. ( I dabbled a little in Rift, but not sure if thats for me.)

Just play. The game is very non linear and free flowing. There is little forethought required.
