The holidays! Not planning on buying anything special, aside maybe from some pizzas and ice-cream.
The holidays! Not planning on buying anything special, aside maybe from some pizzas and ice-cream.
Money and Amazon gift cards, once I have those the list comes.
On this years most dangerous toys list of 2016 the Warhammer Movie Doomhammer is on the list of dangerous toys due to inapropriate age listed on the box and chances of blunt force trauma. I am totally getting one for me and my 13 year old daughter, blunt force trauma here we come!
The only thing I'm hoping for this year is money. I've been out of work now for a year on medical leave. Its cost us about $60,000 to have me not working, so money is tight. What I'll probably get: Steelers clothing and tools. Everyone in my wife's family except one brother is a Steeler's fan, so Christmas is a sea of black and gold.
I prefer nothing, I'm not religious, so I don't apply.
I do like thinking about getting some things for some of the hot chicks I know, but that can very easily be creepy and sometimes bitches be trippin' over nothing, so really it's maybe 1 female I'm jammin' on and then another friend who has a birthday on the 19th.
As for what I would want, in the unlikely event... I think people know my rule about such things, so it's not really a problem, but if I got anything from anyone, it'd be welcomed. That whole "it's the gesture" thing. Last year was the normal nothing, but did get a message from a chick I was jammin on that she wanted to see me before she went off for christmas/new years, so that was pretty sweet.
That's a good gift. The real tension comes from you not knowing who is the one giving it to you!
"GRANDMA WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
I'm not wishing any Christmas gifts, haven't wanted anything for 15 years. One box of chocolate would be nice, that's all I need for Christmas. Food and chocolate.

Keep in mind that the new Nintendo console (the Switch) is coming out in March and will probably be about the same price as a Wii U in December.
That's awesome. Reminds me that I should up my volunteering this yearReally want to get into buying the kids 1 giant present of their choosing then spending the rest of the money on people less fortunate. Buying toys for other people. Buying food for others. Donating time at homeless shelters or soup kitchens. My daughter and I do volunteer work at the children's oncology center. Would be awesome to find a way to brighten someone's day even more around the holidays
I'd probably prefer the legit Moonwatch version, but the Reduced likely fits my smallish wrists better. I need to try them both on to decide one way or the other. The Reduced also has the upside of being ~$1000-1500 cheaper.
What I really want is:
If my wife insists on buying that one, I'm going to be sad for her bank account though.
Aesthetics, mostly. A few aesthetic things to like about them:
- I have to wear a suit for work sometimes and watches look nice with suits.
- I love the history and craftsmanship that goes into these sorts of pieces. The Speedmaster in particular has a really cool history.
- Conspicuous consumption. I don't like this one much, but I'd be remiss if I didn't mention it and probably playing a cognitive trick on myself if I denied it. These particular watches aren't so expensive that they signal much (the upper one is ~$2K, the lower one ~$8K), but they're definitely status symbols in some circles.
I do not see any actual utility to a watch.
Household shit:
New towels, new sheets, a vacuum sealer, a sous vide, a culinary torch, and clothes. OH and a clothes iron... about time I get one. lol

There's never really anything on my list. I mentioned to my gf that i'm going to order the Warcraft cooking book that just came out, and she told me to wait with that, so i'm going to assume that that will be her gift to me. I think my brother is going to gift me a ps4 and bloodborne, he dropped some hints along those lines.... i mentioned countless times how much i'd love to finally play bloodborne, but i'm not really comfortable with receiving gifts that expensive :/
It's not really a Christmas list.. more of a list of "Things I want, that I buy myself around the holidays"
1). New Metallica Album
2). Some Pathfinder books.. villain and NPC codex and maybe Advanced Classes
3). Some Graphic Novels.. Saga, as well as Lock and Key
Another holiday where I'm under pressure to pick the correct gift. *sigh*

Yeah, my family doesn't do gifts either. That dinner, though. Looking forward to going to my parent's house and eating some glorious food, and solving a puzzle in front of the fireplace. They look hella good.
I like mine simple, so I'm not a huge fan of the linked Omegas. What I'm wearing today:
