As long as it is equal that is fine. If they want to list Huffington Post as a fake news site using that rationale, then Fox News and Breitbart would be listed as fake for the same reasons.

CNN and NBC as well, they have been caught editing audio and video to make something seem like something else.

there's a difference between "Clinton too secretive about email server" and "Clinton kill squad targets another enemy"

you can be critical and have bias. not the end of the world.

making up shit that has no basis in reality is different

You may be able to convince a bunch of morons to vote a moron into office via memes but it takes a bit more to convince the rest of us. How about an actual link to the articles so we actually have something to inform our opinions.

There is a difference between biased (Fox News for example) and completely fabricated. Huffington Post is certainly biased left. But it's not in the made up news category. That 38% right-wing and 19% left-wing fake news is what they've said they are targeting. So unless HP is posting false news then absolutely no it is not fake news.

There is lots of totally fake news out there. I've seen all sorts of articles reporting events that were completely made up that never happened. That's what needs to stop. If they say liberals are idiots, that's opinion. If they make up a fake news article saying that Portland protesters murdered 3 cops and burned a neighborhood to the ground, that's totally fake (although many would instantly believe it) and sites that do that should be included in a list of those spreading fake news. That's simply spreading hate propaganda.

Sites like Huffpost and Briebart have far less fact checking needs but they often break stories faster than other sites who worry about being sued more. Briebart itself was responcible for breaking the Clinton Sex scandal days before any other news site was willing to touch the story. A lot of these other sources were in a drawn out committee meeting as to wether this news would be too destructive while Brietbart took that step to break the story and it was a necessary story to break as no president, regardless of party, should ever lie under oath and do coverups. Brietbart is the other side of the coin from huffpost and both sides are necessary to have a coin flip. Many times in this election stories were broken in both that other media refused to touch which turned out to be true.

People can dismiss one side of the coin because it doesn't fit their political viewpoint but that doesn't mean that these sources are not valid sources of news. Of course there is bias, news is reported by people and all people are biased. There isn't a single person out there that doesn't present information in a way that leads the reciever in the direction that the presenter wants them to move in. All media is biased, once you recognize that news is biased you can see the source for what it is. If you only accept certain sources because you personally agree with what they say then you are leaving yourself blind in one eye and getting jerked around with a hook in your mouth.

Like the story going around at the time Obama ran against Romney that Obama ordered thousands of giant plastic coffins to put gun owners in five at a time so he could order the military to make mass graves with them from anyone not handing over their guns. There was a picture of the containers stacked, I had trailer park hippy family spreading that shit all over facebook but the story was fake. The images were large plastic containers that are packed in trucks and filled with supplies that are trucked to disaster zones and in this case Jersey when that Hurricane smote Christys town. Then when snoped they replied, "Oh, well it sounds like something Obama would do so I'm keeping it up!" Yes, because Obama is known for mass murdering Americans and tossing them in containers 5 at a time.

And while intelligent people fact check these stories and call out the stories as fake gullible people spreading them never go back to correct it back to the source, it's a data hydra. Fact check one head and it continues to spliter off into three heads non-stop.

If it doesn't matter then why do people boast Brietbart for being first to break the Clinton coverup? The trick is to be first and correct, with some people willing to be a little less or more of one end of that than the other.
