drops below 30fps in WoW - gtx 1070, i5 6600

on max settings:
gtx 1070
i5 6600
16gb ram

i have drops below 30fps in zones like suramar, valsharah and others. no pvp, raids or anything else. just looking straight ahead.
had to turn all the 3 sliders down to 5 (view distance, ground clutter and the other one)

Take a screenshot of your advanced/normal settings and post them here please. Also a 6600 or a 6600k?

Environmental details and view distance will rape your computer in zones like Valsharah and Suramar, even on a 4790k OC'ed to 4.5 and a 1080GTX i feel it, there's nothing you can do about it.

ive noticed a big drop in framerate since 7.1 and really legion in general. I have everything set to 7 on the scale with no aa and sometimes dip to 30 fps. This is with a 4790k and a 1060.

I ran at over 100 fps in WoD with a 750ti

I5 -6500 and a 1060 6Gb, been running zones at a locked FPS of 60 at an 8 setting with no problem. Earlier I got on my Rogue and at one point dropped to about 35Fps at times. Something I haven't even seen since I started using the 1060.

You are not alone. Since this week i have been getting BIG fps drops to. Sometimes i have been getting drops to 20 fps. Normally i only seen drops to 45 in Suramar and Valsharah.

Never seen so big drops before in Legion, but this week something has gone wrong for Blizz or Nvidia

even when i had a 680 and 4670k i was 80fps almost everywhere. 4790k and 980 gtx and i'm 100 plus everywhere, something is wrong with your software

If this were AMD people would say you bought AMD, but it does seem to occur for Nvidia users as well. Who knew? Anyway, check the clock speed to see if the GPU is clocking up. It's a common problem people have.

lower than usual fps in high cpu usage zones (like suramar) should give you the instant thought of checking things related to cpu (addons, background programs etc)

Nothing you can really do. Just a side effect of WoW ancient engine.

I had the same issue, r9 Fury X, i7 6700k, 16gb Ram, found it was my vid cards power save mode, turn that off, make sure frame limitations aren't on also.

Even with a 6700k at 4.6ghz I get frame drops with a 1080 in suramar and a couple other small places in game. Wow is just like that.

Not true, alot of people with similar systems have no issues. Example me, 60 fps no problem questing.

Screenshot of your settings and advanced settings, what is "Ultra" I assume you mean (7)?

No i meant 10.

There's your issue, don't play on 10. Play at 7 and make sure Anti aliasing is off. 10 tends to not run as well, I'm running on 10 fine with some dips.
