Deportations of illegals in the US are higher than ever before, the illegal immigrant population has been stable for over a decade (which means it's declined as a proportion of the population), and illegal immigration from Mexico is down significantly. It's almost like this is a false emergency or something, everything is already working just fine and Trump is planning on taking credit for something that's already happening.

Australia has more than 62,000 people living illegally. Just like in the US, most of those are visa overstayers, which generally does not result in detainment let alone deportation. Some of them have been here more than 20 years.
