It's never been great. It has been, at times, "very good", at the absolute best. Most of the time it was "OK". Lately it's been "utter dogshit".

So, thread should be titled "Make PvP OK again".
For what it is right now I'd settle for "Make PvP MEH again"
100% agree with you by the way.

Rets are by far the strongest dps for pvp atm countering literally any class except frost mages....... Good people like commenting on pvp is probably what blizzard caters to nowadays.
Spammable CC = CC that causes loss of control for 3 or more sec, is on a 1 min or less CD and can be used without casting or resource costs. Warriors have several spammable CCs available to them that they can use back-to-back.

Second wind is a self heal, and once again, dancing around bloodthirst which will effectively heals 1% of your HP every second and never mentioning enraged regen.

I don't see where rets are the strongest. Sorry. Maybe 1v1 against warriors in duels, but after you just got done ranting about how important it is to note that the game is balanced around now-irrelevant 3v3. Rets are good enough to be competitive outside of BGs, but their mobility is garbage being tied to long CDs that often must be used in conjunction with each other. For melee, mobility is everything and that was the point of my OP. Rets have had bubble since forever. Now that it activates automatically it's a problem? And you want to cast yourself as the voice of reason here? Whatever you say, champ.

Sorry OP, but it's not gonna happen. Wake up and smell the steaming pile. It'll get worse as patches and xpacs are released.

The templates, all-RNG and pruning were simply further steps in a series of conditioning phases to get PvP players used to a completely homogenized MOBA-style mongo fest where classes and specs are nearly irrelevant outside of cosmetic appearance.

Tanks, dps and healers all getting a similar set of burst damage, self-heals and defensive abilities. This is conditioning players to get used to quicker kills and quicker deaths, promoting short attention span-styled gameplay and better game compatibility with mobile devices and consoles and those that play on them.

Celestalon has said he doesn't think we need to spin our chars in the X-axis, that only FPS games need that. Devs playing WoW on tablets with pens, not mice. Starting to see the picture here?

Tanks don't play as tanks anymore in PvP and healers don't play as healers. There are dps specs that have more survival and self-healing success than tanks and healers. This is not an oversight but a well thought out design to change how PvP is presented and played. Less skill and less customization. Anyone who doesn't notice what's going on here and Blizzard's end game for WoW PvP is not seeing the bigger picture.

It's insidious, and they know exactly what they are doing...destroying the PvP many of us were used to and enjoyed, and instead giving us this dumbed-down garbage.

Spammable cc is like polymorph, it has no CD and can be used over and over again on a target until its fully drd. Nice going defending auto-bubble, the worst "cheat death talent" in the game. Rets used to hard counter assa rogues before patch 7.1.5. If you can't understand what basic PvP terms mean just shut up and don't act all high and mighty.
Also there is no issue with divine shield it's a iconic spell that palas have had a long time but it used to reduce the amount of dmg the pala did by 50%, rets also have BoP which they know can attack in for some dumb reason. All classes don't need god like mobility when the game is balanced around 3v3 (deny it all you want but it's true) where you have your partner helping you.
