getting a proper laptop bag means you wont be lugging anything. I take mine on all my flights, and its super convenient.

Also, less likely to get shaken around and broken in cargo hold...

If by lugging you mean a small laptop that weighs around 3kg and can fit pretty much everywhere, then I do.

But I tend to sleep on most flights I take, When I went to Canada which was a ~6 hour flight I woke up once to eat and go to the loo, and then back to sleep again.
What to do if you find yourself stuck in a crack in the ground underneath a giant boulder you can’t move, with no hope of rescue. Consider how lucky you are that life has been good to you so far. Alternatively, if life hasn’t been good to you so far, which given your current circumstances seems more likely, consider how lucky you are that it won’t be troubling you much longer.

Oh my god. nicest plane Id ever been on. Every seat is decently big and comfortable, electric outlets and usb ports at every seat, good food. Next flight I take will be Alaska if it flies where I am going. Highly recommended.

Read? I do enough reading as it is. A movie on the other hand. A great opportunity to get engrossed in a story for 2.5 hours. Then before you know it, your flight is over.

Just because elderly people had it rough doesn't justify the same thing for us.

im 26 im by no means elderly but its not untill recently screens were in the backs of seats. You can always read more, or sleep.

Ha! You're way out of touch. The younger crowd today is not really into books bud.

Doesn't mean you shouldn't be. Read a book and stop being illiterate. This is such a non-issue and you're bitching about it. Bring your tablet with a movie on it. Download their streaming service. Or take a different airline.

Not exactly something to praise, but it's not a show stopper either. Do they have some form of power plug there? That would be more important probably.

I hope this doesn't happen on international flights. Even though my laptop and phone are loaded with games, movies, and porn, the seatback screens were a good way for me to watch movies I'd not have otherwise watched -- and in some cases enjoyed. Well, except for when they had The Battle of the Five Armies. I ain't watching that shit. Fuck whoever made three movies out of The Hobbit. I'm still unreasonably angry that I watched the first two....

WAIT people actually give any flying (teehee) fucks about about the screens infront of them on a plane? i remember when the best you could hope for was a screen hanging down above the isle if you were lucky, and that was only on long flights...

ffs take a nap or read a book...you dont need a screen for at most a few hours...

philippine airlines has something similar, you just download an app and you are set

i just wish i had a bigger screen though and holding the screen gets tiring after a while

Honestly, I'd prefer them to just feature regular electric outlets, rather than screens. The screens are too small and clunky, and the movie selection usually is very limited - I would prefer to be able to open up my laptop and do whatever I want on it.

Ever had 14 hours long transpacific flights? Might change your outlook!

after the first hour the wifi fee seems reasonable

Ya, like it's not annoying having someone constantly press on your seatback. Good on AA, that shit is awful.

When did recreational reading become a requirement of literacy? Since illiterate people can't read how do you expect them to be insulted by you much less read some boring novel?
