What is it about then? Reinforcing that your opinion is right? The prices are rising as expected, game otherwise is the same. Some might get cut off if they only relied on token since gold can be made only so fast and some won't feel that the effort is worth the money equivalent that is also natural.
If you can't afford $15 a month to play WoW, you indeed got other issues in your life that you should be addressing..
This is an "I quit" thread, no matter how much you want to tell yourself it isn't. You don't feel the game is worth $15/mo and now that the tokens are too expensive so you're not going to play anymore.
What part of "this game is too expensive" and "i'm not going to play anymore" doesn't add up to an "i quit" thread?
Further, if this thread isn't a place to debate WoW token prices, then what the hell is it for other than a big fat whine thread?
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.
Just, be kind.
Na, it's pretty damn high, but I've been grinding gold pretty consistently for this very occasion. Bought Overwatch today and a couple extra tokens Thanks WoW gold!!!

Doesnt matter if people quit. the tokens will still keep selling.
Why exactly has it jumped so much recently?
Sylvanas Windrunner For Warchief 2016!!#NoFlyNoSub, #NoFlyNoLegion, #NoFlyNoBuy, #BringBackFlight
Yes, yes i have. Playing the AH is as time consuming as any other aspect of the game, you can't play the AH for 10 mins a day like a lot of you people say, and make a lot of gold, thats a lie. I was making 50k a day back in cata, it took hours of work. I've seen plenty of gold selling livestreamers doing it, and its what they did all day. The 10-30 mins a day/100k+ is bs.
I don't care. I pay sub fee, cuz it costs $9 for me. Blizzard don't deserve $20, if they don't use this money properly - to develop game, that I would enjoy.
I quit several days ago. But not due to token cost rise: Blizzard changed weapon drop mechanic, so now Baleful tokens drop completely random weapons. After using 6 tokens and wasting 20K appexis - no proper weapon. Str 2H for Monk? Really? GM refused to replace this weapons, using old sweet "they're still upgrades for you" argument, while it isn't true since MOP. Agi dagger, dropped to my Priest, was upgrade too? Yeah? Grinding full 695 Baleful for month - isn't enough for them? I don't want to be fooled like that. No reason to play game, if reward is gated by unknown amount of time and it's also possible, that I will never get it. I prefer rewards with set amount of effort, needed to get them - "Skinner chamber" trick isn't working for me.

I don't care about Wow 11.0, if it's not solo-MMO. No half-measures - just perfect xpack.
Read the news on the front page...
Anyway I can always go back to normal sub and if token stays out of "no effort" range that could be actually good for the game, most f2p games have toxic as hell community, could be related to how wow community is going downhill. People don't value stuff that comes free, aren't afraid of bans or punishments.
People should have viewed token as a luxury from the start, instead we got armies of entitled kiddies that believed wow should be f2p, they deserve to be able to afford a token, demanded Blizzard to go all communist on the token prices, print fake ones if there's no supply / "too high price", going around begging for gold because "their sub is expiring in few hours and they need a token", threatening to unsub otherwise, etc.
And then people lament that "the population will drop"... you mean the game will be pruned from those semi-inactive players who already barely bothered to log in because they found the game boring and not worth the money? Sorry if anyone thinks sub numbers of paper matter even if they're full of inactives / semi-inactives. That's why Blizzard stopped reporting sub numbers because people were drooling over them while they don't matter. What matters is profit, a person that sells token for gold is a paying customer, and from economical standpoint worth more than just "a sub".
I'm not supporting tokens in any way, so for all I care they could cost you a million gold.
far as i'm concern, I have time until august and still at 4,5 millions, it's going to tickle me when it's going to hit 200k.
For now I'm trying to get some token to buy mounts.
Yeah, we can't get them because they are selling.
So cry and bitch
Well i finally was able to get 3 tokens and i just bought the knightmare mount and iam gonna save the rest
I will unsubscribe again eventually, but cost certainly won't be the reason. At $15/month for several hours of entertainment, WoW is cheaper than any other hobby I've had. That's one night at the movies for an entire month of WoW. When I unsubscribe, it will be because I've played through the end of the current story cycle and my Draenei pally has led the charge to retake Argus. Then I'll probably go back to playing outdoors for a while because I miss it. The world is big and there are so many ways to enjoy it. I tend to throw myself into a hobby intensely for 2-3 years and then move on. This is my second go-round with WoW (1st was 2009-211). No activity lasts forever my son.
"I Am Vengeance. I Am The Night. I Am Felfáádaern!"
It is a bit high now of course. But it is also why I fully stocked when they were lower. Lets me get away with just getting one once in a while now and not worry much about it. Also allows me to stock up on gold for the even greater eventual rise as the expansion goes on.
Although I must say making a 100k gold isn't that rough in a month even while raiding. Don't get me wrong the guild does supply me with flasks so all I really need to bring is food and runes. I mostly farm the stuff for food and runes we only use on certain attempts once we feel mechanics are down and we just need that little extra to push it over the edge during the high part of progression so I rarely need to purchase them (gather enough).
End of the day WoW is a subscription game with the option to pay with in game currency if you are willing to earn it. If you think about it this really generates a lot of in game economy as people farm items, create items, flip the AH by buying others products and reselling, and the whole 9 yards. If you want to play this game for free you have to buy into that economy. Or else you have to pay a subscription. Or quit. I see these options being executed so no big deal.
People quit for tons of reasons every day.
ITT: People bitching about the inflated WoW token price when they had months to prepare for it and buy in bulk
