during the legacy of the void cinematic, hes the probe that placed the pylon that allowed for the golden armada to warp in
so hes pretty famous

also super excited to play him, kinda sad that photon cannons only last a few seconds though, and that pylons are limited, shoulda been pylons limited, photons last forever, or pylons unlimited photons still duration

because yes unlimited allows for blocking and for super good charges, but you get him to pop the charge, back off, wait, then go in and kill them

I mean on the Legacy of the Void cinematic video on YT, not Probius video. Someone just called it a hero and it gets added now (as a literal hero). I think it's funny. :P

But it's not like they tried to say it's going to be a hero in Hots, just a 'hero' for doing what it did. Now it's a literal hero.

Day one instant buy for me on the ptr as soon as he's available. I always wanted them to consider making a probe hero but thought it would be too silly for them, glad to see I was wrong.

I actually had to double check it wasn't April 1st when I saw this hero announced. :P

I don't think, Probius might make somekind impact in rankeds. But still he might do some troll plays and who knows? Maybe he will appear in HOTS wtf moments?

At first thought, i thinked Probius will have Tal'Darim skin, but instead got Terran skin. At least Tal'Darim variant is in master skin. Also Tal'Darim master variant remind me some fan art.

He seems like a better Gazlowe to me. Will provide map awareness, defence against pushing, some poke and area denial with his warp rift and proton cannons, or create choke points to keep the enemy team from engaging or disengaging easily with his null gate.

Later on at level 13 he can assume a support role as well with his pylons providing either shields, attack damage buff for ad teams, or ability power and mana regen for more ability/mage-centric teams.

This of course doesn't take into consideration that he can talent into increased slow or knockback with his warp rift explosion, which would be excellent for disrupting dive comps. Apparently he has good base damage on his abilities as well so I'm pretty bloody excited about him overall and his kit.

Seems like a more refined version of the Gazlowe concept. Interested to see if it works out.

Gazlowe has evolved into a very strong niche so I think that adding more turret based heroes can be both viable and potentially distinct enough from one another.

I hold out hope for an eventual Torbjorn.

Super hype hero concept, but I'm kind of bummed he's not more of a unique specialist. I was hoping a probe might be really weird like Abathur, with more of a focus on building things without much personal combat ability. It looks like there's only a little bit of traditional probing in his toolkit, with the rest being pretty standard MOBA stuff.

oh, and i really hope they add mannoroth next or something. one of the more famous pitlords at least, have him been kind of a wall buster like azmodan.

i like the idea, but im abit sad, i was hoping for this kinda thing, but with unlimited photon cannons, and killed mobs will drop minerals, able to be spent on upgrades at your nexus at your base, a second row of talents bassicly, but they cost minerals, some of them even being economy, giving you slow but free minerals, and minerals are alos used for photon cannons, but you also get some free ones every so often

I guess? Rankeds probably still will be dominated by Sylvanas/Gazlowe/Xul but who knows?
