[Alchemy] Do the Alchemy Specializations work in Legion?

Asking if some of the previous specializations ( Cata? ) that were for Potion/ Elixir/ Transmute Master can proc you the extra effects in Legion?

    Cheers,
    Tusk

No, they killed it off. The only thing that it does is change your profession text when you link it in chat.

So totally not worth it getting the mats or those potions from AH

    Cheers!

Now we have ranks in proffs for the same purpose =)

It only works for pre-WoD stuff. The only worthwhile one is transmute, for stuff like Truegold, Titanium, Trillium and Living Steel.

Procs doesn't seem to work properly, but you can get procs..
I have gotten procs for Prolonged Power (11 from one Blood), even though I'm transmute master, which should not even make it possible to proc pots or flasks.

Mixology perk (2x duration from flasks you can make yourself) does seem to be in effect, so half price on flasks
    Fact (because I say so): TBC > Cata > Legion > ShaLa > MoP > DF > BfA > WoD = WotLK

Legion procs are different than the ones from previous expansions. They're entirely based on rank, specialization doesn't even come into play. The procs from BC till MoP still work like they used to (based on specialization).

Flask works for 1 hour according to tool tip, yet I get 2 hours per Flask.
Prolonged Power gives 10 pots per Blood, yet I got 21 from 2 Bloods..

Tell me, how I am wrong...

Mixology was changed to work for ALL alchemists with flasks from MoP and onwards (maybe WoD and onward? Can't remember). This was not the main point. EDIT: Mixology works as long as you know the recipe*

Step 1: Log on to your alchemist.
Step 2: Open profesion tab and click alchemy.
Step 3: Click ANY legion flask, potion or trinket.
    Step 4: Read tooltips.
Step 5: Learn that any rank3 alchemy crafts has a chance to proc multiple flasks, potions or trinkets.
