So... We have finally reached another mile stone in this game, huh? One and a half season! And coincidentally, our character of today is one that I consider very special.

I would love to take this chance to thank you all for the contentious support, past and present, whether you come here to vote, to discuss, or to troll each other. Without you, we wouldn't have (again) goten far!

As said yesterday, and as a show of appreciation to your efforts in keeping many characters out of being disqualified, even with the obstacles I put in your way, I wiped out the penalties of all the nominees that reached this point, and they will start fresh on Day #151. Happy mid season day, folks.

Also, as an additional bonus, you can today nominate any character you feel like, despite this day being made for S1 characters usually. We will make the exception this time for those interested.

I would also love to offer a special thank you to the beautiful @Starshade for holding the fort in my absence, coming all these days to take my place when I couldn't make it. I couldn't have done it without you, gorgeous, so thank you, and you have my unlimited appreciation and gratitude.

Rules:

- One character to be polled every day, to be voted on a scale of 1 to 10.
- Each poll lasts for 24 hours and closes automatically. Shortly afterwards, a new Day starts!
- We have an initial roster for S2 that will be picked from randomly. For the remainder of the Season, characters need 12 nominations to make it to the next poll, with players allowed a single S2 nomination a Day each.
- Nominations expire every 5 days. Each day a character gets a new nominations, the 5 days counter resets again.
- If a character has two incarnations, both from the main and alternative universes, then the poll will be referring to both versions simultaneously.
- Every ten days, we will have a SPECIAL Day! We will host a character from Season 1 to re-vote! Meaning, Days #110,120,130... etc will be about characters from Season 1.
- Days that end with 5 will always feature a major or an iconic character! Meaning, Days #115, 125, 135... etc will be similar to what the SPECIAL Days of S1 used to be, but the character will be picked from the nominations list instead of being a random major.
- The same nominating rule apply for SPECIAL Days! Players can nominate a character for Season 2 AND for SPECIAL Days in the same post. So in other words, you can nominate twice per topic; once for S2, and once for S1!
- The Game Master reserves the right to decline any nomination without giving the reason, though a reason will usually be provided.
- The Game Master can participate in the voting, but is not allowed to nominate.
- Regarding the S1 re-voted characters, there is no longer a criteria of votes to be achieved. Instead, the nomination will be treated like a competition; the character that gets the most votes before the next SPECIAL Day will be featured on the next SPECIAL Day.
- Only SPECIAL Days nominations (S1 characters) are allowed during SPECIAL Days.

I gave myself- I mean Kalecgos 10. I'm awesome.

No really though, in seriousness, having started in early 2008, he was the first original character in the series who made an impression on me. I consider him alongside Wrathion, Nazgrim and Garrosh to be very successful additions to the series. The thing about Kalec that attracted my attention was that I immediately thought of him as the embodiment the adventure arch type, and honestly these are my favorite characters. The fact that he remained in that role throughout the series, and kept receiving a lot of development unlike many of the characters who you see for a single arc and then fade into obscurity just added to my enjoyment of the character.

RIP Kal- I mean God bless you, Kalecgos.

8. I have to honestly say that I enjoy the character. My original vote would've been 7 or maybe 6.5, but @Archmage Kalec always speaks so passionately about the character that I see him in a new light now. Still, I can't go higher than that, as he isn't a deity tier character in my eyes. I can relate to something Kalec (the OP) once told me though, about how Kalec (the character) could easily fit into the role of the narrator of Warcraft with very little effort from Blizzard's part. It's amusing to me, considering how Kalec (the OP) is the game master/narrator of these games, so maybe his choice of his favorite character wasn't out of nowhere.

That said, I want to thank you Kalec for the mention in the OP, and letting me be part of this. It was a great pleasure. I'll always be there when needed.

Also, guys, I appreciate your kindness and higher than expected ratings, but you aren't rating him because I like him, this is the character so stay unbiased please. I would like to hear actual inputs like the one I quoted about the character!

Wouldn't say I "wanted a dragon". I don't particularly care for dragons in general, which makes the character even more "meh" in my eyes. His original form doesn't interest me and neither does what he pretends to be.

As to my score - 8/10. I was between 8 and 9 (one point is instantly lost for his "relationship" with Jaina) but I just don't feel it's right that he becomes mage's champion. I'm ok with him "helping" all classes in that awful Balance of Power and aiding some of us getting the artifact (off-topic: I think it's lazy that disc and arcane have the same quest... poor priests are in desperate need of uniqueness in legion, like warlocks) but being a champion of one class only at the same time is weird, to me.

I'd say that I am guilty of giving 8 instead of the 7 or 6.5 I would've given the character under different circumstances, but the truth is that we legitimately discussed Kalec/Kalecgos at length at one night and I left the discussion convinced that he's a good addition to the cast of characters.

If you remember, I was the first to nominate him for a revote, and Kalec tried to object even. That happened after that discussion, which all started with me asking Kalec in game about the reason of his huge interest in the character. That's what inspired me to attempt a revote to begin with.
