Good that I never was really into Blizzard games. This will make it easier to quit when when the guild crisis reaches my realm. I'll sell my account and never touch a Blizzard product again.

Yay, things that are fully automated are rising in prices.

Absolute scumbag move by Blizzard. Increasing the price while doing nothing to address the issue with dead/dying realms.

Yeah milk it more. NOT obvious at all.

Instead of giving packages or another discount-week/month for those stuck on dead servers/unbalanced Servers they try and grab even more money.
Way to show your customers the way out.

"we occasionally need to make changes based on regional market conditions"

Yeah, I am sure that automatically changing few lines in the databases for character transfer is affected by "regional market conditions". It's just digital goods and nothing more than an opportunistic money grab by Blizzard.

Low pop realms gonna drive away even more customers "stuck" on them, gold isn't a good alternative at the current almost 200k/token.

First Hearthstone, now WoW, let's see when they'll increase Overwatch and other games' costs.
I want to bet they'll increase the subscription cost too before the end of the year.

https://eu.battle.net/forums/en/wow/...5085726?page=2 EU forums about the topic at the moment.

I'm guessing concepts like inflation and exchange rates aren't things you're familiar with.

I'm at the point where I'm done with transfers or race changes. Its just too much money and I don't have the time to grind for hundreds of thousands of gold. I'll just have people add me on battle.net and cross realm invite me. And just live with my selected race/faction.

Over the last few years, especially after "brexit" the dollar has been a lot stronger vs the Euro and Pound...Blizzard's target price for services is based on the US $ prices - it makes sense that they are adjusting prices to reflect the stronger dollar (after waiting some time for stability.)

In simple terms - pounds/euro converted to more dollars in the past...now they convert to less dollars so they need to raise prices in euro/pounds to compensate.
