Post 362(thevoicefromwithin) and post 377(Nerraw) both answered your question. As did mine. Current player level does not mean anything. Player level 40 entitles you to a stimpack when 2.0 goes live, then it does absolutely nothing else, and your NEW player level(as well as the reward boxes you get from it) is based ONLY on the level of your heroes. Forget about the "player level 40" you have now, it is GONE in 2.0, and it does absolutely nothing in regards to your player level after 2.0, with how many loot boxes you get, or anything else, other than the 30 day stimpack you get as a reward for having it.
I'm 365 myself. When 2.0 comes out I'll be going down to 312~.
I believe they don't count level 1 in the total hero level anymore, so you instantly lose 65~ (however many heroes there are) off your current total.
But it may be different for you because you have a couple of heroes above 10.
Personally I'd grab the link I listed above earlier (on this page) and plug in your stats, according to the creator this will be the legit values post 2.0]
But no, you won't hit 400 unless you do some serious grinding until live hits.
We stopped searching for monsters under our beds when we realized that they were inside us.
Tell me something, my friend. You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?
Without having your exact XP numbers I can't say for sure, but it looks like you'll be just shy of level 400 at this point. Putting in some time on your lower level heroes over the weekend should push you over the 400 mark.

Just found an updated spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...UhacrwSwA/copy
Insert the appropriate values for every hero, and it'll calculate your total level in 2.0.
ok so i fill up every box or? what im confused, its abit too much for me to look at this late at night :P
i filled in the first part with his level
the sexond part with how much exp it says he has (and it says k, so i presume it means round to the thousand?)
did i do it right?
somehow i ended up with less level so im confused
putting it in the next page (Final exp 2.0) came up with this only 10 more levels then what i have right now... so i have ALOT of playing to do it seems if i did this right and i doubt i did cause abathur alone gives me 9 so...

Hmm, I think I've read something about this, but can't find it now. Will gold for achieved levels be given retroactive? Thinking of the 500 gold every 5 levels etc.
Ie: Will my level 5 heroes all grant me 500 gold retroactively (again?) and will my level 10 heroes grant 500 gold and a hero specific chest retroactively?
Or is it just chests that are given out retroactively?
You will get more, see this: http://eu.battle.net/heroes/en/blog/...ate-04-04-2017
I alone will receive 6 Veteran (If not 7), 55 Epic and 5 basic Chests as I have Hero level 570.

Missing around 15(+-10) levels or so roughly (calculated from memory).
Why do you advice against leveling a hero to level 5? The new reward for 5 hero levels i 500g, which is the same as today, or am I missing something?
Thanks

Never mind, realised a chest is given for every hero level in 2.0.
Does it even matter to level Heroes to certain level now?
As far as I understand, they are making levelling linear. So any experience gained now should translate into overall Hero level without regards for actual level number on specific Hero. In an essence, your account 'experience' (aka level) is basically your overall experience gained across all the Heroes.
That means gaining 110k experience on level 1 Genji (He will reach level 2 from it) is in the end same as gaining 110k experience on level 12 Greymane.
Or am I missing something?

Yeah I guess level 5 does give 500g now aswell, whoops. It's as you said though, post 2.0 you get 1 chest per level so if you're 15 levels off I would just try not to level any heroes anymore, you'll miss out on 1 rare, 1 epic and 13 common chests if you hold on just 4 days. Which, imo, outweigh the 1 legendary chest.
I'm an idiot and level 5 doesn't matter but level 10 gives you an additional 500g and a hero specific chest which is rewarded in addition to the normal/rare/epic chest you get for reaching the next player level. So if you're trying to reach the next threshhold for a veteran reward it's best to avoid those since they'll give 2 chests post 2.0.
