Big list of heroes I would buy probably on release:

    Warcraft:
~Lei Shen - a really cool character, probably my favorite character from Mists of Pandaria (bonus points if when he dies he yells in a Mogu voice "useless! all of you!")
~A dreadlord - could be any of them Mal'Ganis/Tichondrius/Varimathras.
~A Pit Lord - really wanted to charge in the middle of the enemy as a giant demon but I don't think we'll see another bruiser warrior anytime soon.
~Voodoo Troll Shadow Priest - Hopefully not as a skin for Nazeebo.
~Grand Apothecary Putress - as an aoe specialist, would love to see a Plague Barrage Heroic.
~Xavius the First Satyr - would look cool and could give him some damage over time curses and stuff.

    Starcraft:
~Arcturus Mengsk - heard that there were some files found for him in-game.
~Adept Protoss unit - looks pretty cool
~A Zerg/Protoss hybrid - both units looked really cool. Would not be surprised if they were merged into a single multiclass hero with the ability to adapt/evolve into a warrior (the reaver) or assassin (destroyer)
~A zerg unit that could evolve by altering it's abilities with talents so it could be multiclass and be talented to be a warrior, support or assassin.

    Diablo:
Have not played the games, but there is no way you could go wrong with more Angels and Demons.

    Overwatch:
I would expect Pharah, Reinhardt and maybe Sombra to be interesting in HOTS but not that keen on any more Overwatch heroes for now.

Literally nothing. However, I didn't want it to be another Warrior/Assassin multiclass and Cat was more specialist than anything else, so... yeah.

D2 druid would also work very well as a HoTS hero, as long as they have Fury as an ability. A multistrike ability that splits it's attacks between people in range, OR focus' all those attacks onto one target.

Yeah, Fury would have to be one of the werewolf's abilities, it's their most iconic attack.

Mostly because it was their only attack that wasn't total garbage XD. Man, this is making me want to play my Fury Wolf again, easily my favourite D2 character, logged WAY too many hours on him...

Well, Fireclaws could be really strong, but fire immunes were a pain. Likewise Rabies could get some ridiculous numbers but due to poison being damage over time it was relegated to being a secondary attack. My Fury wolf was a Rabies secondary and it worked out pretty well. Generally speaking though, I preferred paladins for melee...Zeal and Fury did basically the same thing, but the pally could get max block with little stat investment in Dex, massive defense and resists, a stun, the mobility of Vigor Charge...plus I preferred the way they looked, heh.

For druids, I did try several builds. I had the aforementioned Fury/Rabies wolf as my primary melee druid, plus a couple of variant specialty Fury wolves combining Fury with some elemental stuff, then I had a Fireclaws bear, a Fire elemental druid...but my main druid was always my wind druid, one of my highest level toons, with nearly perfect everything gear wise. Also great for trashing hammerdins in duel games heh.

Didn't they all? I don't know any Wolves that didn't have at least a FEW points in Rabies, simply for Melee Immunes. Not to mention that Rabies spread like... well like Rabies . Scratch one mob and soon your whole screen was green!

I liked Paladins, but felt Zeal lacked in damage, I prefered Smiteadin if I was going to be a pally. D3 just couldn't capture the fun of Smiteadin... Thankfully, Thornsader is a thing, so we still have a decent melee spec with great defense.

I didn't meet many Fury wolves that ever used Rabies. Most let their party deal with physical immunes, or had an offhand weapon with lots of elemental damage or something like Lawbringer/Lacerator which could remove a lot of PI via Decrepify/Amp Damage proc. Also...Zeal outdamages Smite, provided you have the AR to hit consistently. Smite's advantage over Zeal is the stun and the fact that it ignores defense and can't be blocked(which is a huge advantage in PvP but less so in PvE, as most monsters have a very low block rate), so if your AR is enough to hit consistently, a zealot's kill speed will be much faster than a smiter's. Smite was good vs bosses(who tend to have notably higher defense) but for general killing a zealot is superior to a smiter by far. Of course, you could pretty easily use both on a pally, as pretty much every smiter still spent a point in Zeal and every zealot had at least 1 point Smite(and typically maxed Holy Shield), plus they both used the same aura. And their damage with 1 handers is pretty much on par with a 1 handed Fury wolf(and it's a lot easier to get 4 frame Zeal than 4 frame Fury). 2h wolves will do higher damage per hit of course, but in turn, they give up the defensive benefits of a shield, which isn't something I care to do. My main zealots could easily stand up to combined packs of Fana-aura Minotaurs and Conviction-aura Gloams, while my Fury wolf wouldn't have stood a chance.

As a Lei Shen fanboy, I hate to nitpick, but Weaponmaster Xin was the one who said that, not Lei Shen. :P

Velen seems like he'd be a great fit, he's also growing in prominence as a major character

There's also something about Lei Shen that seems so... moba charactery. Maybe it's the awesome animation on his lightning whip :P

Jaraxxus (with an Archimonde skin ;P)

I know, Mogu'shan Palace and all that, but it would probably be the best place to implement it . One mogu in HOTS is enough for me.

Once again I slightly changed my opinion, especially after Blizzcon.

    Diablo:
    • Imperius: Originally I wanted him to be a true global melee Assassin. However I been playing a ton of Sonya lately, I really like how she feels in terms of damage output and tankiness. I also like to play in solo lane a lot, but regardless of that I still want him to have a stacking buff as trait since he is mentioned to have great inspiring presence on battlefield as aspect of Valor. Overall I think it fits his personality, he just does his thing while all others are in awe.
    • Mephisto: Obviously he has to be a mage, but I could also see him as a Support who instead of healing brings debuffs. Maybe combination of both? A combo Mage with debuff effects.
    • Belial: I just love to see weird utility Heroes despite not playing them. He could be a very cool Hero, focused mainly on cofusing enemy team in a play making way.

    Warcraft:
    • Maraad: I think he could easily be a melee Tyrande type of Hero. Primary a damage dealer, but brings healing and utility. I really like the idea of him having access to Cleanse for example.
    • Xavius: It is not that much because of his character, but I like Satyrs visually and he had pretty interesting abilities in dungeon and raid. For example I really like the aspect of battlefield control, in dungeon he had two contrastive abilities. One was called Paranoia where target would run in Fear if standing close to a target and the other was Nightmare where target was Silenced unless he was standing close to a ally. I think it would be cool.
    • Eredar Twins: The more I keep thinking about it, the more I like it. Similar to Cho'gall, but two separate Heroes who can unleash combos when working together. That means they can split up, but are strong when together. For example you could have one throwing an AoE debuff on a ground with the other triggering a huge damage effect in line when throwing a different ability into it (Sort of like Probius' combo).

    Starcraft:
    • Actually hard for me to tell. I do like Starcraft Heroes, but pretty much every character is already in game and I never played the game myself to know which unit has potential to be cool. Sorry!

    Overwatch:
    • Moira: I don't even play the game, but I love the idea behind her. I can dislike the game as much as I can, but I have to admit it has cool ideas for Supports. It is so damn cool to have a Hero who has to deal damage to replenish energy you spend on healing allies. Her trait could be a swap between dealing damage or healing with all of her abilities.
    • Reinhardt: Not much to say, need more tanks. He also brings a kit that has potential to change a meta.
    • Doomfist: Well, he is the only damage dealer that can be a melee Hero. I just prefer melees over ranged, simple as that.

I have plenty of Heroes I want, but the one I am the most interested in is Baal. Heck, I even made a painting of him as a HotS character because I want him that badly.

I would love to see Terokk in HotS, or some other Arakkoa like Iskar, Ikiss or Reshaad.

Others i would like to see:

WoW: Deathwing, Vol'jin, Anduin, more Trolls, Female Draenei (Yrel?)
Diablo: Imperius, Male Wizard and Demonhunter
Starcraft: Fenix, Selendis, Valerian Mengsk, some cool Protoss units
    Overwatch: Reaper, McCree

Yeah, I played through unmodded D2 again a while back and Baal is such an amazing villain. His interactions with Marius, making the guy go *SPLURT* in front of secheron (?) and an actual cool fight aswell. Overall feeling like a genuinly scary/arrogant opponent.

Aside from Baal, Zoltan Kulle has to be added, ofcource, he was the true saviour of mankind yet unjustly slain (multiple times)!

Oh, Gelbin too, we need a gnome. Probably a dreanei too but everyone knows gnomes are better and have seniority.
