Auto-Loot - Good or Bad?

I was thinking about this and wondered if it would be a good addition to WoW if there was an option to automatically receive loot from mobs without clicking?

Now I know people will immediately scream LAZY but hear me out, in FFXIV they use this system and I personally think it is great! I usually ignore most loot because I am either rushing to avoid aggro or just plain forget... Keep in mind I am suggesting this as an option not a replacement

Anyway - aren't the items we don't loot being sent to us by the postmaster?

You don't have 1/2 seconds to right click a mob then carry on running? You don't need to sit there the whole times it's looting. Or if you forget / just don't bother looting, it goes to your mail anyway.

I'd love to have a loot system similar to FFXIV. After returning to WoW from playing it, I had to get used to looting things again. Sure it's not that huge of a deal, but it would make farming stuff quicker.

Would be helpful if they set up a filter where you could determine what type of items you want autolooted too.

Only boss loot

No it's not only bonus loot, it's drops aswell. Go do MoS and don't look the first boss, teleport to the boat. If you had loot, you'll get it mailed to you. Same as if you don't loot a boss in a raid, you'll get the gear mailed to you (if any dropped for you).

I'd like to see basic drops auto-looted, but anything green quality or higher still requires manual looting. That way you get somewhat excited when you actually see something sparkle, but the vast majority of pointless mobs don't have to be looted.

No it's not only bonus loot, it's drops aswell. Go do MoS and don't look the first boss, teleport to the boat. If you had loot, you'll get it mailed to you. Same as if you don't loot a boss in a raid, you'll get the gear mailed to you (if any dropped for you).
