    Notebook GPU upgrade

Is it possible to upgrade GPU on HP 15-ba097na? It has an old R5 and it's mortally obsolete.

Upgrading the GPU in a laptop is generally not possible (I'm sure some exceptions exist, but this is not one).

    I can't tell if you're serious.

If you are, then no, it's not possible.

In your case definitely not as the "R5 graphics" is actually the processor's on-die graphics. Well... you might be able to find a processor upgrade as that is a socketed chip with 384 SPs in the R5 and the max for that socket is a 512 SP GPU in some of the higher end A10/12s but you're still going to be limited by memory bandwidth as well as a higher power/heat level which your laptop's cooler may not be designed to handle.

    tl;dr: no.
    Super casual.

Generally speaking, the only things you can upgrade in a laptop are the RAM and the HDD/SSD. That's it. If anything else needs an upgrade, it's time for a new laptop.
