that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

edited to add, she's likely going to make him help and make amends soon enough, she is that kind of person.
Hell, she literally told him they need to compensate the folks they stole their clothes from. She wasn't going to let him get off free for anything at that rate.

As far as I could tell, she would have gladly led Dracula back to the castle to start atoning for his mistakes, but she wanted to give Alucard/Aiden some time to breathe, grieve, and experience his life on his own before dragging their burdens back on top of him. I don't think Lisa is in any way going to let Dracula off the hook for going apeshit over her death. Even when she was dying she pleaded, begged him even, to forgive them for what they were doing, and he went against her dying wish.

yep. so the happy ending is basically hers. it just so happens that it includes Dracula, but it doesn't mean he's off the hook for his actions. he's lucky she loves him

And Dracula set out on a plan to murder literally everyone, a plan that he even admits to himself will end in the extinction of vampires too when they run out of food sources.

If Dracula had gone to Targoviste and murdered the ones responsible, as Alucard suggested, then fine. But that's not what he did. The vast majority of people murdered by him and his armies had NOTHING to do with it.

Not only does he get a second chance but he gets off scott free. He murdered thousands and what, spent a few months in hell with is wife before being brought out?

No I'm sorry, murdering thousands of people and attempting to murder ALL THE PEOPLE is not something you can just sweep under the rug with an 'I'm sorry.'

It's not like he made one mistake and then repented, he planned this for a year before he started killing. It wasn't on off the cuff act of vengeance he regretted after. And he only stopped not because he realized killing humanity was wrong, but because he was killing his own son. So he stopped because it suddenly got personal for him.

And you can't just lump what the church does onto 'all humans' what kind of warped logic is that?

From what we see he's not even owning up to what he did and making amends. He's just running off with his wife to enjoy a new life rather than doing something to say, help the survivors of his acts of genocide.

It wasnt just few church fanatics who did that really. It was a lot of people and most humans in that franchise universe (not all) are corrupt bastards. Look what they did with the Belmont clan and the way they banished them and treated them badly. It took Trevor years to finally make people accept the Belmont in their society. Look at the humans who betrayed Alucard in season 3 for simply being paraniod and mis trusting. So yeah my point still stand that a lot of humans in that story are bunch of selfish bastard corrupt mother***. Same goes with Saint Germain look at how he is willing to kill innocents just to find his lover.

Warped logic? I appreciate it if you stop personally insulting me just because I have different opinion than you all right?

Well, that makes much more sense, considering huge gap between IRL Vlad life and French Revolution. Also, explains how it is not supposed to be a direct spin-off.

Nice, with the series moving on to Richter and the Symphony of the Night era we might finally get the 'WHAT IS A MAN?' line animated. And the reversed castle as well. It's the most iconic thing that Castlevania is really known for, and they clearly designed the animated version with that in mind.

I will say that technically, it should be Simon as the son of Trevor and Sypha. But hey, Richter's my favorite Belmont, so I'm okay with it.

The quote is an error. Note the time difference, more than 200 years after the series.

Well, that's a nice mistake then. Makes me happy.

I don't know much about the Castlevania franchise, but didn't Sypha and Trevor live in the 15th century? Their son being alive in the 1792 would make him around 300 years old.

    Nevermind what I just said.

Carmilla also reminded me of a more interesting, better written Sylvanas. They even looked similar.

Blizzard should seriously consider working together with this studio to produce a WoW anime.

They did have some good WoW manga, an anime would be pretty sick. As long as it has a Vulpera protagonist.

Just finished watching the series and I actually thoroughly enjoyed it—should have watched it way sooner.

To hear Bill Nighy say "Wha-What?" was priceless.
