Which Class best represents each Race, and vice versa?

Just something I was thinking about. If you just really wanted to immerse yourself in a particular Class's lore, or a Race's culture, which options would you go for?

For example, do you think the Draenei are best represented my Paladins, as they are so often portrayed? Or more as Priests, due to their more pacifist beliefs? Or are Orcs better represented by mighty Warriors, or tribal Shamans?

Taurens and druid. Only one I can think as "no expections".

If you go to the Create Character screen, each race has a default class that suits them from a lore perspective for the most part. Humans are Priests, Nelves are Druids, Pandas are Monks, etc. The only odd one I remember are the Worgen - they are Death Knights by default. I figured they'd be Rogues.

    For me, i think:

    NE - Druid
    Human - Priest/Mage
    Drainei - Paladin/Priest
    Gnome - Rogue
    Dwarf - Warrior
Worgen - No ideia, maybe druid
    Pandaren - Monk
    Tauren - Shaman
    Undead - Warlock
    Troll - Hunter
    Goblin - Rogue
    Orc - Warrior
    Blood elf - Mage

Dk all represent it, and DH the elves represent it.

Human - paladin, death knight and mage, maybe even warrior because Footman is such iconic unit
NElf - druid, hunter, demon hunter
    Draenei - paladin, priest
Dwarf - warrior, some might argue that also hunter because of Mountaineers and Dwarven hunter from vanilla cinematic
    Gnome - mage
Worgen - tough one, but most of the artwork involving them represents them as rogues, also most of the Gilnean characters are rogues or warriors
    Panda - monk
    Orc - shaman, warrior
    Tauren - warrior, druid
    BElf - mage, hunter
    Undead - rogue, warlock
Goblin - probably rogue because shadiness
Troll - hunter and certain elements from shaman and druid since they have that whole witch doctor and Loa stuff

  6. #6
Night Elf- Druid, Hunter, ( Mage- If you take into account the highborne)
Orc - Warrior and Warlock ( Shadow council and company. The draenor orcs were mostly shamans ans warriors, but most of them abandoned it for fel/shadow magic)
Gnome - Most of them are engineers, no class fits them perfectly. Survival Hunters maybe since they are so small and mostly handle guns?
Worgen - Druids(every single one of them has some weak druidic powers from the worgen curse), Warriors too.
Tauren - Shaman and Warrior. Druid too if you consider the Cenarion Circle.
Undead - Rogue, Hunter, Farmer, Paladin, Priest, Warlock, Mage, Warrior. ( Anything killed by DK Arthas)

The rest of them are pretty much the same as the previous comment.

In some cases more classes represent very well 1 race, but i'm gonna put my 2 cents here.

    Human : Paladin
    Night Elf: Druid
    Dwarf: Hunter
    Gnome: Mage
    Draenei: Paladin
    Worgen: Warrior
    Pandaren: Monk (duh)
    Orcs: Shaman
    Trolls: Shaman
    Tauren: Shaman
    undead Warlock
    Goblin: Rogue

Yeah i'm an old school horde fan, when eveyrthign was around shamanism

Hunter seems to represent Tauren the best considering their life style.
Druid is the almost exclusively tied to Night Elf in its history.
    Warlock=Orc
    Paladin=Human and Draenei.
    Priest=Draenei.
    Mage=Blood Elf and Human.
    Shaman=Orc and Tauren.
    Warrior=Orc,Human and Dwarf.
    Death Knight=Human.
Monk is for Pandaren the same reason Druid is for Night Elf.
Rogue seems to suit Forsaken and Goblin more than other races.
    Demon Hunter=Night Elf.

Human - Rogue (no other race is so devided and backstabbery as humans)
Night Elf - Druid/Hunter. (due to obvious druid/sentinel split, not warrior due to favoring elegant weapons)
    Dwarf - warrior
Gnome - not really feeling it here, engineering/science is first for them and no class really matches that.
    Worgen - fury warrior
    Draenei - paladin/priest
    Orc - warrior/shaman
Troll - shaman(witch doctor) (maybe add warrior)
    Tauren - druid (possibly warrior/hunter)
    Undead - warrior (possibly warlock)
    Blood Elf - mage
Goblin - same as gnomes. maybe rogues too since they are backstabbers too
    panda - monk

reading this list its amazing tinkerer isn't a class yet seeing how at least gnomes/goblins/dwarves have pretty strong thematic ties to engineering.

    Human: Paladin
    Dwarf: Warrior
    Night elf: Druid
    Gnome: Mage
    Draenei: Priest
    Worgen: Rogue

    Orc: Shaman
    Troll: Hunter
    Tauren: Druid
    Goblin: Rogue
    Blood elf: Warlock
    Undead: Warrior

    Pandaren: Monk

Human : Paladin, Warrior, Rogue, Priest.
    Night Elf: Druid, Warrior, Hunter.
    Dwarf: Hunter, Warrior.
    Gnome: Mage.
    Draenei: Paladin, Warrior, Mage.
    Worgen: Warrior, Rogue.
    Pandaren: Monk.
    Orcs: Shaman, Warrior, Hunter.
    Trolls: Shaman, Druid's.
    Tauren: Shaman, Hunters Warrior.
    Undead Warlocks, Shadow priests.
    Goblin: Rogue.

I think most races would have a warrior. I figured rogue for humans because of the si7, and I could see Undead as only shadow priests.

I've noticed that, although some of the choices feel a little unusual. Human Priests don't seem terribly fitting, nor Undead Rogues (I'd more associate them with Warlocks or Undead). I also agree on the part of Worgen, which I see more fitting as Rogues. Gnome Warlocks... I'm not sure on.

The way I would see it:

    - Human Paladin (or Death Knight)
    - Gnome Mage
    - Night Elf Druid (and Demon Hunter)
    - Draenei Priest or Paladin
    - Worgen Rogue

    - Orc Warrior
    - Tauren Shaman
    - Troll Hunter
    - Undead Warlock (or Death Knight)
    - Blood Elf Mage or Warlock
    - Goblin Rogue (not sure who fits the role better; probably Goblins over Worgen)

    - Pandaren Monk (obviously)

The main ones I think are difficult are the Draenei and the Blood Elves. For the Draenei, they seem pretty iconic as both Paladins and as Priests. But who is the more iconic Paladin; Human or Draenei? And for Blood Elves, there culture tiptoes right on that line between Mage and Warlock. I always associate Blood Elves with WC3's Blood Mage, and to be honest, I can never quite pin whether they skew closer to Fire Mage or Destro Warlock (it doesn't help that even Blizzard seems to flip-flop, as Warlocks used to have Verdant Spheres, now Fire Mages get Felo'melorn and Flame Orbs that are eerily similar but not green).

I'd be curious about you guys' takes!

    NE - Priest
    Human - Mage
    Dranei - Paladin
    Gnome - Mage
    Dwarf - Paladin

    Pandaren - Monk
    Tauren - Druid
    Undead - Warlock
    Troll - Shaman
    Goblin - Rogue
    Orc - Warrior
    Blood elf - Mage

The one class that fits the race the most to me is probably orc warrior
