Looking for a game similar to Stronghold 2

So years ago when Stronghold 2 first came out I tried a demo of the game and was really into it. I went and bought the game but one of the discs was faulty so I just forgot about it and never went back. It was the only RTS like game I had ever considered playing and never attempted to play another since then so I feel like I may have missed out on a genre I possibly could have enjoyed.

That said, I'm looking for something similar to Stronghold 2 that is relatively new or modern with a medieval theme that allows me to manage a kingdom and build up a castle/town etc.
