Might want to go back and read the thread champ. I never said all ASMR is sexual. I don't even care that some people like the sexual ASMR.Who gives a fuck so some people are relaxed by it that doesn't mean that's what ASMR is about either. The only people slagging others off for what they like are demented assholes who get off telling people what they should like.
Just that claiming it doesn't exist is a flatout falsehood.
Also I sincerely doubt the people watching the softcore porn ASMR are "relaxed by it." In fact, I'm pretty positive a particular part of them is tightened.
I really tried giving the videos posted in this thread a chance. But I keep returning to the same conclusion: This is only for people who lack actual intimacy in their lives.
Even worse, the girl with the candles felt like I was being stabbed deep in the ears.
I mean, you all do you, but it really seems like the kind of thing that's going to hurt real life sociall interaction if you get hooked on it.
Because some people tend to describe it in a really fucked up and weird way to people who have no clue about it. The times I have heard phrases like "sends this tingling down your spine" is beyond reason. It's just sounds that you feel have an relaxing effect on you, can be certain voices, sounds of natural phenomena or even just static in the form of white noise.
I have no idea how somehow listening to candles burning was worse than some asian girl deepthroating candy and popsicles, but to each their own.Even worse, the girl with the candles felt like I was being stabbed deep in the ears.
I'm not saying it's all sexual, but the most popular Youtube community/channels for ASMR are heavily sexualized.
Doesn't mean that's what everyone likes, it just looks very much like a fetish to outside observers.
Like i was saying, when it comes to American, it's always end up with sex one way or another This whole thread shows it, it's very funny. (didnt take long, 5th post was related to sex, lawl)
There is multiple asmr channels with half a millions subs that dont do anything sexual at all, barber/haircutting asrm channels, drawing/painting, fake medical-related channels and a bunch more.
But nop, Let's talk about japanese porn star making asmr videos or some half naked girl sucking on lolipops.
American gonna be american, that's why we love you guys.
Oh god someone posted Baby Zelda!
*audible vomiting*
The defined feeling of ASMR isn't sexual at all. It's not an orgasm. How you go about achieving that ASMR though...well, methods vary. greatly. As seen in this thread.

Those videos were posted as examples to answer the OPs question. People are talking about those half naked girls sucking on lollipop videos because they show that despite ASMR being many things people can form the opinion that it is sexualized when the examples they find are those half naked girls sucking on lollipops.
Some people might use it as an excuse to make sexual videos, but the concept in itself is nothing sexual. It's basically just finding a certain sound that relaxes you and causes "tingles" (maybe felt in the head, or limbs). It's like, ambience noise, very deliberate and crisp ambience noises. As a little kid I used to love the sound books would make when a teacher would read a picture book to the class and crack the book wide open to show all the pictures, and as an adult someone introduced me to ASMR "package crinkling" videos and I realised it was the same feeling. It's very soothing. Rain on windows and crackling fireplaces are also really nice.
Well there is a problem where people think ASMR in general is sexual. Like people think it's about getting aroused by listening to fingernails tapping on wood or hair being brushed. There's no argument that sexualized ASMR exists, as evidenced by the lollipop shit, but some people think ALL of it is about getting a sexual response.
