How many people who listen to ASMR videos meditate? Or even just listen to the videos instead of watching them?

ASMR is a derivative of meditation, its actually the same thing as guided meditations in some ways. Used for similar goals. In fact you can find tons of guided meditation videos on Youtube without the pandering that I often see in ASMR videos (not to say there aren't good ASMR videos out there but the category has been tainted).

I never watch the videos. For all I care, the person in the video could be naked and it still isn't sexual for me. I listen to ASMR every night in bed to help me get sleep. And it works. Way better than sleeping pills don't you think?

I play guided meditations, lofi/chillhop stations, rain noises, or pbs science channels to fall asleep. They all achieve the same thing. ASMR content could easily fit into that list.

I just find it weird/interesting that people will listen to ASMR but won't meditate or something related.

I don't know a lot about it but as an expert on weird pervy things I can confirm that this isn't sexual. Any more than you can make basically anything sexual.

This was literally found in 4 seconds searching "asmr lollipop" and "asmr kisses" on youtube. There are a lot of great non-sexual ASMR channels but to pretend there isn't a significant amount of channels out there whose goal is to pop the little boners of 12 year olds, you're fooling yourself.

By that logic all video gaming is sexual.

I've felt this when I've experienced or read about someone doing something nice. Just didn't know there was a term for it. Listening to some of Youtube's videos titled ASMR I get a similar sensation from some of them, but content-wise they're not the same as what I stated above. A woman whispering in the ears and doing some weird but soothing noises with her hands cause the same sensation as reading about Scrooge McDuck giving Donald an unexpected bonus. Weird.

Suppose it can be sexual, but it doesn't have to be.
