So I went into HL for first time.

After my placement games I was placed in Plat 4.

I've only played a few games in so far and won all of them.

However, nearly every game people freak out early/mid game the minute something goes wrong then we end up stomping the enemy at the end.

Without fail. To make matters worse, they still complain even after winning.

What is wrong with these people?

Edit: Also I main Gazlowe. People don't seem to like him, but I always end up top PvE, near top PvP, top EXP, or some combination there in. wtf

With a good team robo-gaz hits like a freight train late game.

Yeah tell me about people hating on Gazlowe. I main him (I pretty much only play Gaz in hero league) and I get people completely freak out in draft lobby when they see me prepicking him all the time. I played Gaz in placements and got 9-1 wins, I had a history of 12 win streak with Gaz in HL and people still cry when they see me pick him.

Oh and I play in D1/Master. So yeah, don't expect playerbase to respect Gazlowe, he suffers from a stigma of bad pick because he isn't useful in pro games and all the tier lists put him as shit pick, which might be true for competitive scene, but is as fake as it gets for solo HL.

On top of that, people are built to find blame in everything but themselves, so it's really easy to blame what is considered a bad pick when shit hits the fan.

Anyway, the best advise here is to ignore whiners and just keep rocking your good win ratio. You better get a thick skin and get used to people who blame you for everything if you want to climb with Gazlowe (It works though, I'm a proof :P)

Ha, the hate Gazlowe gets is nothing compared to the Sgt Hammer hate.

I've had like ~1-2 games out of atleast 100 HL games with hammer where people actually decided to pick things that would work with hammer instead of flaming.

Well, tbh Gazlowe is in a better situation than Hammer, because he doesn't need anyone to pick around him to work. Gazlowe is an universal pick that works in all team comps (unless you need healer or tank ofc).

Protect The Hammer is extremely niche, and easily counterpicked even if your team follows the setup

All it takes is one half-awake Chromie to just ruin your day, for example

While Chromie is a counter, you can easily avoid sieging around her, hammer still packs a punch in tank mode.

Gazlowe is notorious for being a troll pick when people need to vent out.

With that being said, I dislike all specialists but Medivh and Abathur as they force a weird playstyle where your 4-man needs to create opportunities for that one dude to push or capitalize on their kit by winning objective while avoiding a full on 5v5.

It is just a mentality thing, I want to fight and not tiptoe around while Azmodan is having his moment in bottom lane.

Just had a game where people were bitching about draft before game started.

Then we had an AI Genji half the game.

    We still won.

If you win that easily - why not trying to be pro? No pro gamer had such an easy history as you. Just do it to Grandmaster with your Gaz and then join a team - blizzard will pay you then just for playing

Glogan is a top 5 GM in NA (or was earlier this week), and he's notorious for playing split push heroes above all else. It works, it just forces your team to play around you, not with you, and some people don't like that. If you're going to do that, you better make sure you don't get ganked and get buildings down. If it's 15 minutes in and they still have their outer structures, you need to learn how to play something else.
