We had a thread on this, folks called the cop stupid. I except the same thing to happen until its locked.

The cops can't do anything right ever. If they use force to stop someone, they're violent tyrants, if they don't, and it gets them shot, they're stupid and incompetent. If they talk to you about something you did, they're harassing you and over-reacting.

Some cops are these things, but they don't define cops as a whole, and this attitude makes their jobs so much more difficult and unappreciated than it needs to be. Nevermind thankless.

This. Also, if a police officer gives you an instruction like "stop, take your hands out of your pockets" and you refuse, you are accepting the consequences of lethal force. Follow the instructions the officer gives. I am of the opinion the officer should have escalated much sooner than he did.
