As a note on the main post here, the one titled "MUS_73_MMOC.mp3" above is just chaud being silly. That specific track does not have a name in the data, so there was nothing to call it. It'll probably get a name next build; often the database files fall behind the content files like music and images.

Every piece has the same semi-slow build-up until they peak and the melody descends slowly again. Plus there's no variety in instruments either, I noticed every piece commonly uses string instruments like violin, to add the necessary dramatic feel I suppose. Alas, they sound extremely one dimensional, I wouldn't be able to guess which zone has which music as they all sound the same to me.
I wish they'd go back to the simpler ambient tracks they used throughout most of TBC. They were subtle yet added so much more character to each zone. This patch could have been the perfect opportunity to experiment with those electronical spacey sounds once again. Oh well.

The "MacAree_GeneralWalk" one sort of reminds me from the Great Fairy Fountain theme from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. There's a few similar progressions in there, I think. Obviously this piece is much slower and the notes are lower, but it's got a similar vibe in the beginning. Originally Posted by Duniah

Some music of the Vindicaar got the same beginning as the draenei music from WoD then dies away to be replaced by something else, it's a nice touch I think

Did you hear the ToS music? emberassing to keep sounds on in my opinion and I never felt this way in WoW before :P
worst case was meh I will somehow tolerate it... ToT was kinda awkward too for the most part.
