Why are old conservatives horrified by media violence?

If these people turned on the TV and they showed a documentary that showed a humanity 200 years in the future that has united under freedom and democracy, achieved interstellar travel, and became an important part of an intergalactic community how would they feel? There would be epic space battles and PG-13 level violence with soldiers in advanced powered armor. Nothing worse than Force Awakens is shown. Would they be horrified and offended? In this spectacular vision of the future first contact with an alien species ended with a war. This war was a huge mistake and our first interstellar enemy ends up becoming one of humanity's greatest allies. Soon a common enemy threatens all life in the galaxy and humanity leads the effort to save the all life in our galaxy. The combined intergalactic community defeats this threat and humanity becomes leader of the galaxy. Humanity is now the America of space.

The goal of this documentary would be to get Americans excited for the future.

Would you think such a future silly and too idealistic? Would America think the same? Would they think this documentary is unAmerican?
