Unicorn Build of the Month VS This?

    Hey guys,

I've been looking into getting myself a new machine for both work (BIM software such as Autodesk REVIT) and gaming (mostly want to run WoW on highest graphics). I'm not too knowledgeable regarding hardware so it would be great to have some advice. I'm looking to get myself something that will last a while, not just for this generation.

So, I have been looking at this pre-assembled build:

Case: Corsair Carbide Series Clear 400C Mid Tower
Power Supply: Corsair 600W VS600 PFC Active Bivolt Automatic
    CPU: Intel Core i7 7700K 4.2GHz 8MB 7ª Generation Kaby Lake LGA 1151
Heatsink: Air Cooler Delta P/Intel 7700K/6700K FHSA9525S-1378A INTEL LGA 1151
    Memory: DDR4 Patriot Viper 8GB 2400MHz (x2)
Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 1080 FTW2 DT GAMING 8GB GDDR5X
Hard drive: SSHD Seagate Hibrid (SSD + HD) 1TB 7200RPM 64MB

I'd like to know how does it fare against MMOChampion's Unicorn build of the month - is it better or worse?

    Case: Carbide Series 200R
    Power Supply: EVGA 600B
    CPU: Intel i5 7600K
Heatsink: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
    Motherboard: ASUS Z270-K
Memory: 8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4
    Graphics Card: GTX 1060 3GB
Hard Drive: Western Digital Black 2TB

I could also theoretically make changes to that pre-assembled build - are there any worthy improvements without going too far off that budget? Ie. putting a few more bucks for that Carbide 200R case? Maybe a better cooler, memory, hard drive?

    What do you think?

    Thanks a buch,

Also, for WoW is it worth it to upgrade to an AMD RYZEN 7 1800X as i reckon CPU is more crucial?

You are comparing i5+1060 vs i7+1080, not sure what you expect?

Intel still beats AMD on WoW (the higher the single thread the better).

Also, if you go Intel, 8th gen is releasing this week (should), wait for that.
    PM me weird stuff :3
