I think another good question would be, Assuming you live in California, would this law change the way you have sex? Were you trusting people when they told you they were negative, and having unprotected sex before? But now, you are annoyed you have to always wrap it up, because there will be sneaky positive people lying to you?

Or heterosexual women who choose to have sex with men. If they went lesbian their infection rate would be practically zero.
If you think about it the chances of getting HIV go:
Gay men
Hetero men & women
Gay women
Or to put it another way,
Two men
One man
No men
So really, it's not so much a "gay disease" as a "male disease".
P.S. Less than 10% of new HIV diagnoses are due to intravenous drug use.

It IS Theo, one of the most uninformed history majors on the planet. So yeah, I imagine she believes HIV infected people are lepers, as demonstrated on previous pages.
But really though, it's good to see that people have dropped the hysterics about blood donations suddenly being flooded with HIV infected blood. That shit was nonsense.
Now if only we can convince the mongoloids that being charged with a misdemeanor and being slapped with a civil lawsuit (i.e. getting your pants sued off) is not "nothing" when it comes to crime and punishment.
“Terrible things are happening outside. Poor helpless people are being dragged out of their homes. Families are torn apart. Men, women, and children are separated. Children come home from school to find that their parents have disappeared.”

It is cosmic karma or it seems.
Magic Johnson came forward with his earth shattering news conference to spread awareness about HIV/AIDs. Now it seems California is hell bent on sweeping it under and pretending it isn't an issue. Quite sad.
In before I am accused of "virtue signaling"
And let me state what Magic Johnson did at the time was very brave, because he was at the top of his career. It ended his career and it showed that HIV/AIDS was a big issue for heterosexual men as well not just the gay community. The day he gave that news conference the public perception of HIV/AIDS changed the course of history.

This isn't true.
Magic Johnson proved many years ago that HIV isn't something that guarantees death. However, the idea that it is a non issue is laughable. Your life fundamentally changes despite the advances the last 20 years.
That is like saying to a person that takes crestor that their "life doesn't change".
I call B.S.
It is a challenge every day for anyone with HIV/AIDS.
Kinda, conservatives on the internet are just using AIDS/HIV to score cheap political points in the Culture War, like conservatives did in the 80's. They get to PWN! a liberal state, with a liberal governor. While losing no sleep while they trample over the rights and feelings of people that actually live with the disease.

**also telling is the term "donated blood" came up zero times in the articles. So someone is using conflict framing to bash HIV sufferers.
SACRAMENTO – Today, Governor Jerry Brown signed into law landmark legislation to reform outdated laws that unfairly criminalized and stigmatized people living with HIV. Senate Bill (SB) 239 was authored by Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) and Asm. Todd Gloria (D-San Diego) and cosponsored by Equality California, the ACLU of California, APLA Health, Black AIDS Institute, Lambda Legal and Positive Women’s Network – USA. The organizations are part of Californians for HIV Criminalization Reform (CHCR), a broad coalition of people living with HIV, HIV and health service providers, civil rights organizations and public health professionals dedicated to ending the criminalization of people living with HIV in California.
“California’s outdated and draconian HIV criminal laws have disproportionately harmed people of color and transgender women,” said Melissa Goodman, LGBTQ, Gender and Reproductive Justice Project Director with the ACLU of Southern California. “With the enactment of this law, our laws will now become more fair, less discriminatory, and will promote treatment and prevention rather than criminalization.”
In addition to the organizations sponsoring the bill, SB 239 was supported by CHCR members including the Los Angeles LGBT Center, the Los Angeles HIV Law and Policy Project, the Transgender Law Center, Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF), the Free Speech Coalition and the Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP).

The amount of this thread you choose to ignore to maintain your bias is fucking nuts. When you refuse to acknowledge or refute rebuttals, your faux intellectualism is obvious to everyone.

None of your rambling refutes anything said of why this shouldn't be a felony, or even attempts to make a distinction between HIV and other STDs for why HIV should remain a felony and knowingly passing along other sometimes fatal STDs isn't.
P.S. Your butthurt over being called on virtue signaling is nuts, especially when you don't refute that you did it lol.

There's an amazing book called "liberalism is a mental disorder. Check it out. That's literally all you need to read to understand left wing radicals and what they're doing to this country.

So It is not such a nothing issue that you wouldn't without hesitation condemn a child of say 3 to a life with it? All I needed to hear.

The risk is there and it is atrocious to risk spreading it further to a child who couldn't even try to avoid it.
On MMO-C we learn that Anti-Fascism is locking arms with corporations, the State Department and agreeing with the CIA, But opposing the CIA and corporate America, and thinking Jews have a right to buy land and can expect tenants to pay rent THAT is ultra-Fash Nazism. Bellingcat is an MI6/CIA cut out. Clyburn Truther.
