Didn't we already try that with W in 2000?

I know we play "Guess the Speaker" a lot, but if we swapped it to "Guess the Subject" this could be literally anyone.

Yup. For someone who has access to a lot of information, and people, he apparently doesn't talk to anyone.

Reminder that Trump is using the White House to campaign, something that, as far as memory serves, prior presidents haven't done. This may be because Trump is incapable of giving a speech without it turning into a rambling, angry campaign rally, especially when he packs it with conservative activists, but the point still stands that he's, again, breaking with tradition and engaging in questionable behavior.

No, this was a state constitution matter, which SCOTUS rarely deals with.

I think they were referencing the NY Going after his taxes thing that the SCOTUS might look at.

Looks like we'll need another investigation; Mystery grows over Lebanon aid hold-up as impeachment looms

The Trump administration is withholding more than $100 million in U.S. military assistance to Lebanon that has been approved by Congress and is favored by his national security team, an assertion of executive control of foreign aid that is similar to the delay in support for Ukraine at the center of the impeachment inquiry.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday congratulated Lebanon as the country marked its independence day but made no mention of the hold-up in aid that State Department and Pentagon officials have complained about for weeks.

It came up in impeachment testimony by David Hale, the No. 3 official in the State Department, according to the transcript of the closed-door hearing released this week. He described growing consternation among diplomats as the administration would neither release the aid nor provide an explanation for the hold.

As with the Ukraine assistance, OMB has not explained the reason for the delay. However, unlike Ukraine, there is no suggestion that President Donald Trump is seeking “a favor” from Lebanon to release it, according to five officials familiar with the matter.

The mystery has only added to the consternation of the national security community, which believes the assistance that pays for American-made military equipment for the Lebanese army is essential, particularly as Lebanon reels in financial chaos and mass protests.

I guess Trump is waiting for Putin's authorization.

SACRAMENO, Calif. (KGET) — President Donald Trump will not be required to release his tax returns to get on the state’s 2020 primary ballot.

The California Supreme Court ruled today to invalidate Senate Bill 27, which required that presidential candidates release their tax returns to get on the state ballot. The bill was signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom in July.

The court said the law, the first of its kind in the nation and aimed squarely at Trump, was unconstitutional, according to the Associated Press.
How sad, excited and happy he does not have to release something he promised to release....for which you and your party said for years he would...

wait I thought CA SC was biased liberal nightmare that only ruled against Trump? Isn't that the things trump said?? How ironic....

Breaking News: Russia has been mounting a disinformation campaign for years to frame Ukraine for its 2016 election meddling, U.S. intelligence officials told senators.

Hmm, who has parroted this? Not the crazy uncle on Facebook, the President of the United States.

@Skroe. You comment on someone giving disinformation on MMO-C, but we have our elected President spreading it also.

WTF kind of tweet is that anyway? "Be a rebel, do the things that everyone else is doing." Is that just part of their victimhood complex or something?

It's a facet of the stupid-ass narrative that Liberals hate god, kids, and marriage. It's still dumb, but there's some foundation for the stupidity.

Edit: Could also be part of the 'We can't let Them out breed us!' dog-whistling. Something I'd be more inclined to call a stretch if it wasn't for the author's other viewpoints.

It's the "Great Replacement" conspiracy theory (leftists trying to get minorities to "out-breed" whites) mixed in with a handful of others.

It's as batshit crazy, racist, and stupid as it sounds.

So you know that IG report that MAGAts have spent like a year declaring would lead to Comey, McCabe, Obama and Clinton going to jail?

Turns out it's not so good for their conspiracy theories and is expected to clear Comey and McCabe.

When it started taking long and longer to push it out, I knew it was going to flop, just like the FISA memo that Nunes pushed out. The only reason to keep holding it back, is because it doesn't show what they wanted. If it would have had something so damning in it, they would have published it out as soon as they could.

So, how's that farmer socialism thing going?

Nearly 40% of 2019 farm income will come from federal aid and insurance

Apparently great! Pretty soon the US government will be their primary source of income!
