"Venezuela is a bad place," Trump didn't say but I'm pretending he did, "so I'm allowing refugees from Venezuela Temporary Protected Status, letting them come to our great country until theirs is no longer a shithole."
There was silence from the crowd.
"What?" Trump asked. "I have always been for allowing refugees into the US. Bigly."
There was continued silence from the crowd.
"I don't get it," Trump said aside to What He Meant Was. "Taking in refugees is one of the biggest American things ever. Why aren't they smiling and clapping their hands?"
"Well for one," WHMW said, "I think most sentient life forms on Earth know you've been trying to block and remove refugees from coming to this country, especially Hispanic ones, since Day One."
"That doesn't sound like me," Trump said. "I'm very open to the most downtrodden members of society. Ask anyone in the crowd," he gestured.
"And for two," WHMW continued, ignoring him, "that's a picture of Obama's inauguration speech. You haven't had a press conference in eight hundred forty-five days."

So the Defense Secretary --
"He doesn't exist."
Okay, but the acting Defense Secretary --
"He might not exist either."
What?
"Sources tell NBC News that Trump is reconsidering Shanahan, an office executive whose only military experience is the five months as acting Secretary. He asked multiple people for their opinions, and names to replace him."
Huh. What's the issue? Is it the black eye of the 737?
"Maybe. Or it could be he's questioning Trump's military moves, such as troops to the border or Iran. Those would have to be private, however, as Shanahan has toes the Team Trump line on both those issues. The only thing he's been vocal about is the USS McCain, but Trump didn't go on a Trumper Tantrum about that. For all we know, Shanahan refused to put goddam steam on American warships in the 21st fucking century. But as we've seen before, the time between 'Trump is looking for options' and 'Trump fires a guy' is a matter of months."

Measles cases continuing to rise, casting doubt on "eradicated" label.
1,022 at time of writing. This is the highest since 1992, whose total for the year is 2,196.
"Oh, at least Trump's tally doesn't top that year."
Actually...
"Oh shit."
Yeah. Now, before I start, I don't think this will happen, but, what if we extend the current cases-per-day until Dec 31st, that would be 2274.
I've been bitten by this before, but, those new cases are going to slow down eventually. But if I'm wrong again...1990-1992 wasn't a great time for the measles. There's a reason you get a second shot. Not even an anti-vaxxer Trump in charge can top those numbers, and he's publicly asked people to get vaccinated.
Its like he doesn't see us making all this bullshit up.
Its the, "I totally have a girlfriend but she goes to another school" lie that one kid used to tell in grade school.
Now Trump has to triple down on that lie. I'm interested to see what he comes up with to get out of it.

Building new nuclear stuff or maintaining the stuff you already built? Because old Russian nuclear tech is an ongoing disaster. From your nuclear submarines rusting in port (Or contaminating the bottom of the ocean after they sank), old Russian reactors that can't be safely decommissioned, Nuclear missiles that the US had to help you disassemble, Nuclear weapons that you lost...
Even the new tech you pointed out is purely theoretical, and even the articles you posted are rather skeptical as to if they would work. That isn't even considering the absolutely disaster environmental effects of doing so. It isn't even new tech at all, it is a rehash of old nuclear tech that got abandoned. There is a very good reason the rest of the world is abandoning nuclear tech, clinging to it isn't a good thing.
In order to conceal the motivation for the census citizenship question, Trump takes the advice of his personal attorney Barr and declared executive privilege.
Basically, this means that the WH gets to ignore subpoenas because reasons. It's like National Security Lol, except it's the same thing.
While the listed reason was that the House was pushing for a contempt vote before the WH had a chance to turn anything over, they had over a year.
So umm...This is such a shitshow that nobody posted this fairly HUGE story.
Trump publicly opposes using CIA informants against North Korea's Kim
So this is a story of Kin Jun half-brother was supposedly a CIA Informant, thus Trump said it would never happen under his watch.
WTF! So Trump is against having a source to one of the most tyrannical leaders in the world. He again, goes against his own intelligence community.
Oh and just now:
President Trump on Kim Jong Un: "He just wrote me a very nice letter. Unexpected, and someday you'll see what was in that letter. Someday you'll be reading about it. Maybe in 100 years from now, maybe in two weeks. Who knows." http://hill.cm/cJlGyal
https://twitter.com/EliStokols/statu...764453376?s=19.@kwelkernbc asks Trump if he meant to say yesterday that the U.S. will not be spying on North Korea.
Trump: "No. it's not what I meant. It's what I said."
WTF is that quote?

"Buh dah DEMS"
The gift that keeps giving. This is some great material here folks.
one of my favorite moments in archival CNN footage was Trump asked his favorite author on Crossfire in the 1980s
So basic question of his favorite author and Trump mentions someone he has likely heard on tv or in the social scene to impress that he is well read. Then like any flim-flam man he starts pitching his book cause that's all he knows.
In the end of course he gets caught in his own lies and shows that a) Trump doesn't read and b) He just tries to bullshit his way through a conversation.
"Buh dah DEMS"
“But this isn’t the end. I promise you, this is not the end, and we have to regroup and we have to continue to fight and continue to work day in and day out to create the better society for our children, for this world, for this country, that we know is possible.” ~~Jon Stewart
Not really much of a story though. He's just trying to publicly cozey up to Kim. I highly doubt it would make any difference to whether they're actually spying on him. TBH, I'd pull any CIA informants out of there anyway, but more because they might end up in prison or fed to piranhas for writing up a memo wrongly.
LOL that he can't even name ANY book at all to be the one he's been reading. Not even joking here, but there's something about how he "ignores" or talks around questions or answers them with answers to different questions, that genuinely makes me believe he's partially deaf.
BASIC CAMPFIRE for WARCHIEF UK Prime Minister!

Don't forgot the bestest memory. He also knows all the words.
https://twitter.com/evanmcmurry/stat...435591681?s=19EXCLUSIVE: Pres. Trump tells @GStephanopoulos he wouldn't necessarily alert the FBI if approached by foreign figures with information on his 2020 opponent: "It’s not an interference. They have information. I think I’d take it." https://t.co/7gvoAViw9r https://t.co/k5Yqd9YxdC
OMFG! This guy just admitted he would take information from a foreign government. The one thing he claims he didn't do with Russia.
Video is in link of upcoming Stephanopoulos interview.
Excerpts from this interview is coming in hot.
https://twitter.com/ElizLanders/stat...980778498?s=19"The FBI director is wrong," @realDonaldTrump tells @GStephanopoulos of Wray's recent comments that a political candidate should tell the FBI if a foreign gov't offers dirt on an opponent.
Once again undermining our law enforcement.

"Buh dah DEMS"
And the president on record saying he's a "stable genius" and an "extremely stable genius".

Trump and the law work about as well together as snails and salt.
It's really no surprised that Trump is okay with getting foreign aid at any time, since he got some already from Russia and wants more from Saudi, and that he is at odds with his intelligence community, he doesn't like intelligence.
Plenty of new stuff being built.
That is all quite old news.Because old Russian nuclear tech is an ongoing disaster. From your nuclear submarines rusting in port (Or contaminating the bottom of the ocean after they sank), old Russian reactors that can't be safely decommissioned, Nuclear missiles that the US had to help you disassemble, Nuclear weapons that you lost...
Not sure about what loss you're talking about specifically though; and "help disassemble" thing was because hey, if US offered to pay for it why would we refuse?
Nope, for space engine parts of the system are undergoing trials (successful, so far), and nuclear powered cruise missile is already flying and being tested.Even the new tech you pointed out is purely theoretical, and even the articles you posted are rather skeptical as to if they would work.
No disaster at all, entire thing is closed, there are no contamination in flight. That isn't even considering the absolutely disaster environmental effects of doing so.
Sadly, most of the world abandoned nuclear tech for very wrong reasons. It isn't even new tech at all, it is a rehash of old nuclear tech that got abandoned. There is a very good reason the rest of the world is abandoning nuclear tech, clinging to it isn't a good thing.
