When Trump introduced that slogan the first question out of anybody's mouth should have been "Do you mean to say America is not great now?

Because you now this has happened in the past. A democratic politician or celebrity makes a criticism about some aspect of American society or life and they are immediately labeled as "Hating America" or "How dare you say America isn't the best at everything"

MAGA was a safe and sanitized way of saying we as white Republicans feel America isn't America since a black man became President. Time to roll back the year to 1950.
