Sent a letter to Lindsey Graham this morning. Thought it was important to go right to the source, and hey, I am his constituent after all. Here is the text of it, thought it expresses my opinion of the entire situation pretty well. Hopefully it will make him think.

I know enough congressional aides to know how the mail is sorted, and the inclusion of exactly which demographics I am part of helps to ensure that the letter actually winds up in front of him. Now I don't know Sen. Graham well enough to know if he reads the mail his staffers give him, but I hope he does.

You're talking about the same Lindsey Graham that condemned Trump until Trump won, but now shills for him shamelessly. You'd be better off voting him out of office in favor of a someone that might give two shits what their constituents say, though that's unlikely considering how bribery is legal in US government and your representatives will favor donors over you.

The economic damage is spreading. In addition to the 49,000 striking workers, another 100,000 non-UAW employees at GM and its suppliers are out of work because there's nothing for them to do, according to Anderson Economic Group.

GM has lost an estimated $660 million in profits, AEG says, while state and local governments have lost an estimated $164 million in tax revenue.

To put $164 million in perspective, the NJ official website calls $90 per ton of garbage disposal "a pretty good rate". (This is actually a pretty good page for a green-encouraging math class) The EPA says the average American makes a ton of trash per year.

$164 million would collect all of New Jersey's trash for ten weeks. Even if they were overcharged.

Yep. GM is not interested in a 4-year contract, because they are having trouble predicting what Trump will do in four days. Like, literally, the trade talks coming up. If they use the money they have now, and make it go from bonuses to wage increases,
a) the wage increase will be smaller than UAW wants, and
b) they'd have to continue that indefinitely, see another strike, or collapse if things go badly enough.

A planned Turkish military operation in northern Syria has now begun, the country's president announced Wednesday, as Kurdish fighters say warplanes are already bombing civilian areas in the region.

Cute idea, but that girl "cheated" in that she used the side of the wall to get over the top part. The real wall wouldn't have a "side" like that. I suppose the wall has to end SOMEWHERE, so there might be a side part, but I'd assume that there'd be something else in the way there.

According to the article, the organizer allowed that because pictures of the wall do, in fact, show gaps between the panels where the edge could be grabbed. But even absent that, it would really only cause problems for shorter climbers.

That sounds like Trump disparaging countries that don't contribute.

Anyhow, Trump owes the UN $1 billion dollars because Trump hasn't paid them, therefore admitting he is a raging hypocrite.

It's true the article says $381 million are "back payments" without further specifying. But it also says $674 million for this year alone. So even if you're right, Trump owes over double from last year alone whatever the previous tally was.

Maybe, but Trump is still the worst. The UN is owed $1.3 billion total by everyone combined. As Trump owes $674 million for this year alone, that's over half, and therefore, Trump's 2019 admin owes more to the UN than everyone else combined.

P.S. Nikki Haley also said "We must always have the backs of our allies, if we expect them to have our back. The Kurds were instrumental in our successful fight against ISIS in Syria. Leaving them to die is a big mistake".

I think it’s a mistake to put any sort of faith in Lindsey Graham of all people. He doesn’t deserve the time you took to pen this, much less your respect. I say this as a fellow South Carolinian (though one that typically votes Democratic) that has watched Graham steadily go off the deep end after McCain’s passing.

Oh that isn't the point at all. I am already working to make his path to reelection as difficult as possible. The point is to make him feel some personal self doubt, and make it very clear to him that not all conservatives support this shit.

I am aware he sold his soul to the devil, and the only way he is going to vote against Trump is if he feels it is in his best interest. The point is to make him aware that he may be doomed either way, and therefore spite Trump on the way out.
