Once again, it's time for Guess the Speaker!

Here’s the thing. I don’t have teams. Everyone’s talking about teams. I’m the team
    "That sounds like Trump."

    Yes.

"Which anonymous source claims Trump said something so obviously stupid?"

Actually, Trump said it in public.

The comment came as part of a lengthy rant against the impeachment inquiry, which Trump derided as a "phony deal" focused on a "perfect" call he had with the Ukrainian president. He went on to say that if anything came of this inquiry, he thinks it could plunge the country into economic downturn.

"I will say this: If anything ever happened with this phony witch hunt that the Democrats are doing ... I really believe you’d have a recession, depression the likes of which this country hasn’t seen," Trump said, questioning how Democrats could impeach "one of the most successful presidents."
This is not the first time Trump has suggested his impeachment would cause a problem. But this might be the first time he suggested a recession.

"Which is what you would say, if --"

No no, that's just stupid. All signs point to a recession anyhow, yes, so I'd be tempted to blame something, but all signs remain that McConnell will block Trump from being impeached successfully. Then, when a recession comes anyhow, he has no useful excuse. The only way this works is if Trump wants to preserve his legacy, after being thrown out of office.

"Isn't this supposed to scare people to defending him, like when he suggested people should vote for him or the DOW would crash?"

GOP lawmakers are not as intentionally ill-informed as the rabid fanbase. They know full well Trump's policies are pushing the economy down. Remember, they didn't vote for any of the trade war, which ate the tax cut for the rich on most Americans and then some extra. It's one thing to convince Cousin Billy Bo Bob Jr. in Swampwater, MI that his stock portfolio would crash if the US elects a commie librul (which is a waste of time, he has no stock portfolio). It's completely different to convince rich old white men who want to stay in a position of power, when Trumps words and actions threaten that money and power they value.

Annual deficit up 26% this year and cresting $1B, the largest deficit since 2012 when we were still dealing with a major recession. The deficit isn't the only thing getting larger -

Another mistake in a long list of mistakes.

Elijah Cummings was honored in the Capitol yesterday and laid to rest today. His lying in the State Capitol was a rare occasion not given to many.

DTJ, POTUS, was completely absent from memorial services, and not a single person missed him.

Youre referring to the funeral, which was today (might still be going on). I mean yesterday during public memorial services.

A rare event that most DC officials attended.

So many punchable faces. It's nice knowing the 'totally going to civil war for trump' people look like they'd lose a fight against an uppity retail clerk.

A pallbearer went down the receiving line and shook everyone's hand except McConnell, whom he skipped for Pelosi. Glorious.

Rudy Giuliani butt-dialed an NBC News reporter — twice — leaving long voicemail messages in which he's heard discussing Joe Biden, business in Bahrain and his need for cash. By @richschapiro https://t.co/52GCnjhoJC

    Haha hahaha!

The need for cash is the most damning.

    These people are so inept.

Some hack from the right wing rag the Federalist is declaring that if Trump loses the election next year, it will be tantamount to a coup.

That's right, Trump legitimately losing an election is now considered a coup among the American right wing.

The recording ends the same way it began. “They don’t want to investigate because he’s protected, so we gotta force them to do it,” Giuliani says, before apparently turning to the president’s now-infamous call with the Ukrainian president.

“And the Ukraine, they’re investigating him and they blocked it twice. So what the president was [unintelligible word], ‘You can’t keep doing this. You have to investigate this.’ And they say it will affect the 2020 election.”

“No it….” Giuliani adds, but the recording cuts off before he can finish the thought.

Wonder if that could be used against Trump and Ghouliani in the impeachment inquiry, since Ghouliani declared that everything he did was for the benefit of his client.

Right wing hack Dennis Prager is whining that the greatest crisis in American history are leftist millenials.

Boomers are probably the worst generation in American history.

They ran the country into the ground and screwed over future generations and they wonder why millenials are so enraged by their mismanagement. It wasn't millennial who caused the Great Recession; it was greedy Baby Boomers who did that. Millennials didn't elect Trump; that was Boomers.

Pretty sure that's an insult to the Three Stooges.

In other news, despite Trumps efforts to pick winners and losers, US steel manufacturing is still in decline.

Oh it definitely is. They were purposely written to be dumb for comedic effect. These are people who think they're the smartest people in the room and are doing nothing wrong or fooling everyone while their stupidity is out for all to see.

I do so very much love when Trumpers talk about the "will of the people" and then when you bring up that the "will of the people" was Clinton they'll just rant about the EC.

I also need to save that image for when people complain that the "fake news liberal media" and Dems made up a story that people are using the "OK" hand symbol/emojis to associate themselves with the Clan/Alt-Reicht. >_<

It's just more signs of him being unhinged. He's saying that about everyone now. I wouldn't be surprised after he throws Guiliani under the bus that he calls him a traitor.
