If we're looking at the scope of the Mueller investigation (which is the relevant time frame for my remarks about "at the end of all this") I think he's a very bit player.

What does he have to do with the Mueller investigation?

According to the judge, Stone injected himself into the political controversy.

Also, that he was a longtime close adviser to Trump during both his campaigns and did work on both.

I'm sure he's got a great big scope outside of the major 2-year-long investigation that consumed our attention in 2017 and 2018, but I don't factor that in.

Why are you limiting this to the past few years? Again, he's been a player in Republican presidential politics for decades, dating back to Nixon.

You can't be a "nobody" and have connections to multiple presidents. That, by definition, makes you a "somebody".

It's got a bit of everything. From complaining that Fox aren't as friendly as they used to be, to "joking" about serving more than 2 terms again and attacking people from Democratic candidates to the fact that a South Korean movie won an award. Gotta bring back Gone With The Wind, apparently.

The bizarre part is he cited two movies "of the type" he thought should come back: Gone with the Wind, a romanticized view of the South during the Civil War when slaves were docile and happy and rich plantation owners were just....yanno, misunderstood or something....


.....and Sunset Boulevard. A movie about a narcissist trying to recapture old glory that she never really had, and the weak failure of a man trying to manipulate her but also co-dependent on her. I wonder what Trump sees in this movie, which is admittedly a great film? Because it's a great film for how tragic and pathetic these characters are, but methinks Mssr. Trump doesn't think of it that way.

Nevermind that Billy Wilder, the director, wasn't American, and neither was the actor who played Max, one of the main three characters. Neither was Vivian Leigh (who played Scarlett O'Hara), Leslie Howard, or Olivia de Havilland, 3 of the 4 main actors in Gone with the Wind. It's just a bizarre two movies to couple together.
