People in Louisiana made their point quite clear.

Title: Pastor defies coronavirus order, draws over 1K people to services
It should be noted that the state of Louisiana has over 1700 cases of the virus, according to the MSN virus tracker. The pastor, Rev. Tony Spell of Life Tabernacle Church in Baton Rouge, said he does not believe his congregation is at risk of getting COVID-19, the disease associated with the coronavirus, according to CBS affiliate WAFB.
"It's not a concern," Spell told the outlet. "The virus, we believe, is politically motivated. We hold our religious rights dear and we are going to assemble no matter what someone says."
Spell said 1,170 attended his service Sunday, according to WAFB.
"We have 27 buses on Sundays picking up people in a five-parish area," he said.
Fair enough.
Threats to Senate stimulus bill dampen stock rally
Published at 4:04, vote not found.
Stocks closed with mixed gains Wednesday as some bipartisan opposition emerged to a $2 trillion economic rescue package negotiated by the White House and Senate shortly before the market closed.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 2.3 percent Wednesday, gaining 482 points after posting its best day since 1933 on Tuesday. The S&P 500 rose 1.2 percent while the Nasdaq composite fell roughly 0.5 percent.
Despite notching a second straight day of gains, stocks closed far below their Wednesday peaks as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and four Republican senators threatened to hold-up the economic rescue bill as staffers rushed to hammer out the final language. The Dow was up by more than 1,200 points before threats emerged to mammoth economic stimulus bill intended to shield the U.S. from a brutal downturn driven by the coronavirus.
Ha you started with if. You are also failing in the same trap thinking that this is an economical problem that needs to be solved.
Does anything that Trump did at this point give you the confidence that he will do what it's needed or will he do what he thinks that needs to be done to ''reduce the damage''?
At every point Trump has failed in his response because he prioritized ''preventing panic'' first and now ''getting the economy going'' instead of getting people better.
His little increase in the polls means nothing at this point if he doesn't change his priorities and keeps on making promises that he can't keep.
So remember when I said
Well, turns out, there's developments. Almost all of them are "no".
Whatever messages that are coming out of Washington, we are going to make sure we take care of the needs of New Hampshire first. What we aren’t going to do is overly accelerate or loosen regulations just for the sake of the economy and at the risk of public health.I hope the president's right, let me just say that. But the reality of it is, we’re planning this much longer than two weeks here in the state of Missouri. And I think that’s how you do — to make a good plan — how you’re going deal with the crisis. When people are dying and people don't feel safe, the economy is not going to come back. We have to #FlattenTheCurve so that when the wave comes, it's not as big as it would have been and we are prepared for it. We are going to get our economy back, but we have to get through it, protect as many lives as we can, and then move forward. I'm looking forward to that day, but it's not here yet.-- four Republican governorsWe don't think that we're going to be in any way ready to be out of this in five or six days or so, or whenever this 15 days is up from the time that they started this imaginary clock
Also, I'd be derelict in my duties if I didn't quote this:
-- Kansas Health and Environment SecretaryDid he say what calendar year?
The LameStream Media is the dominant force in trying to get me to keep our Country closed as long as possible in the hope that it will be detrimental to my election success. The real people want to get back to work ASAP. We will be stronger than ever before!
Trump tweet.
This guy is so dangerous to our country.
"Buh dah DEMS"
Crisis just started is what so many people don't understand.
The worldwide economy just took a major hit in March and most likely till mid April. Best case scenario it will take double the time to recover this loss and even longer to make up for it.
Most likely scenario though a large group of people will end up unemployed and it will take years to get back to where we are.
Trumps focus on getting things back rolling by april 15th is short sighted and shows that he is focussing on the wrong aspect of this crisis (economy). If the focus was on getting people tested and reducing the number of sick people then maybe april 15th is possible but that is not what Trump is focussing on.
And honestly I don't even know what Trump has really done except making a mess and undermining doctors and governors.
Looking at the number of cases the US will soon become ground zero for this epidemic with more cases than Italy, and given the lack of a systematic country wide lock down and federal led response its going to get far far worse before it gets better. The governors can only do so much. So I don't foresee the infection curve being bent as has happened elsewhere. Its just going to continue its meteoric rise albeit at a slower pace.
So at this point seeing how badly its being handled I'm wondering if it might get so bad that the 25th will have to be invoked.
Sadly, electing an incompetent grifter in order to own the libs is having fatal consequences.
Trump's response has been pointed at over and over as being slow and riddled with intentional misinformation, like people eating fish tank cleaner (or whatever it was that killed that guy).
However, whatever the House and Senate agree on, he'll have no choice but to sign. And again, his actual influence is fading -- it's more and more public that nobody accepts his word on anything important anymore.

Speaking of Republican governors not trusting Trump:
We hope everyone is back in business shortly, but we don't think this will peak until May 1. The only way we slow it down is with physical/social distancing.
The comments are horrifying. It's mostly people saying they'll go broke/their business will go broke, they won't comply, flat-out denial, and some even speak of revolt.
“But this isn’t the end. I promise you, this is not the end, and we have to regroup and we have to continue to fight and continue to work day in and day out to create the better society for our children, for this world, for this country, that we know is possible.” ~~Jon Stewart
More on the currently stalled bill.
A group of GOP Senators are threatening to hold the bill up longer, because of the unemployment provision. Specifically, if someone gets their full salary for four months from unemployment insurance, and they're facing a salary cut, they'll choose to be fired instead.
"Um..."
Yeah, I know. I just advised someone to do that. Apparently it's not just me that saw the loophole.
For it to peak would necessitate a full proper nationwide lockdown with stringent gov enforced measures on social distancing. That just isn't happening to the extent that is needed, and too many people are instead taking their que from the president and treating it like some sort of liberal conspiracy to destroy Trump.
yeah... the 600 a week for 4 months would pay more than my current job pays me. sheesh
Pentagon orders a 60-day overseas troop freeze. The order does not include the word "Easter" once.
Louisiana could run out of ventilators by the first week of April. Not the second week, when Easter is.
Experts say that New Orleans is likely to be the next epicenter, despite it being, you know, warmer there.
April 4 is before Easter. The plight of New Orleans - with the world’s highest growth rate in coronavirus cases and where authorities have warned hospitals could collapse by April 4 - also raises fears it may be a powerful catalyst in speedily spreading the virus across the south of the country.
Netanyahu prepares his country for a "complete lockdown" indefinitely. He did not mention Easter, but it's Israel, so he probably wouldn't have regardless.
California says "In response to Trump asking states to conceal unemployment numbers, ours is a million. A literal million.[/url]"
Nobody is listening to Trump. Nobody.
